For the type of offroading I'm doing and how I use it in general. the 4Runner is about as big as I want to get anymore. I do miss having the utility of an actual truck bed but I'll probably get another Taco at some point to fix that.

Get a best gen 4Runner and you have the best of both worlds.

I forego the "full size bed" for a good utility trailer. Much prefer to have a cap on the bed, allows me to have tools and such at hand all the time.

We are on the far western edge of this one, so might be anything from a dusting to 6 or 8 inches. Likely the lesser.

Almost. I still wouldn't have the V8 that I have now.

This is the route that I'm leaning towards. I'm probably going to tackle building my own utility/camping trailer next year sometime.

I just built a very small one that will be used to haul luggage and extra crap when my wife and I do the snowbird thing and head to Florida.

That's essentially the size I plan on building, just offroad oriented.

    Nice job!

My buddy who is flat broke after paying a lump sum of debt went to scrap the cat on his 97 4 runner

upon closer inspection it was hollow... Not a single damn trace of anything... Just a hollow steel cavity

Oh man I’m getting real Cannonball Run vibes. It still has the City of San Francisco decals on it.

This would be a badass camper rig. Fun fact, the lightbar on top is a Federal Signal Jetsonic.

Used ambulances are such a gamble. either they're super gross or the wiring is a disaster
    Still might be fun though
