Anyone use a 12v electric blanket for every cold weather? On low setting it uses 32 watts. I purchased custom 0 degree down quilt a few weeks ago, it has not came in yet. Combining a electric blanket with a high quality down quilt I believe this is all I need for extreme temps.

Last month It got down to 7F during my trip and I had crappy synthetic sleeping bags and I was 'okay'.

On another note, I am looking for a triple locked 80 series Landcruiser so I can slowly build. Still going to keep the Tacoma for longer trips. The landcruiser will be used for solo or shorter trips.

We use an electric blanket every time we go out in the winter. My wife loves to kick it on when she crawls into the sleeping bag and when she gets cold during the night. She typically uses 30 Ah every night when the temps are in the low 20’s. It is a great solution to staying warm when the camper isn’t heated overnight.

Sweet 30ah is not too much, is this on low or high setting? Going to try it out on my next cold trip and see how it goes!

    Thinking of purchasing this one.

Same brand I got. It seems well made and has lasted at least a year.

Might be old news, but saw these on a FB camper thread about the webasto/chinese heaters. Its a fuel pump cover...they're on Amazon. Some say it muffles the pump noise a little if you're really sensitive to noise.

Lol I can already hear myself telling my gf how many Ah's she's using. I have thought about doing power on both sides up top so we can each have our own blankets unless I can find a dual temp blanket (haven't started looking). I have already been referred to as a "human furnace" so she would probably roast me out if she had control of the heat for both of us.

I have a couple of this model. The timer and heat output is adjustable. The older blanket I got is only timer adjustable.

Also, I sleep in a -20ºF Big Agnes bag. it doesn't have any material on the bottom since it would get compressed anyway and offer zero insulation so it saves on space. I keep a fashy hot water bottle and the electric blanket running bunched up on my stomach on the really cold nights. I've slept down to -12ºF with the back hatch open and was pretty toasty. The -20ºF bag doesn't leak heat upward and keeps a nice warm zone above me. My back is cool but I wouldn't say it's cold.

I mean there're two options there. You decided to pick the most expensive one.

The new owner of the Propex unit..or the truck?

I have yet to do this! Is anyone close to Clackamas, OR, that would be willing to go over to North America Mattress? Here is the last quote I got for 80x48x4 (needs new covers because thicker). I asked for another quote for 80x48x3 (Vagabond mattress size and will work with regular covers).

    Message from North America Mattress:

    "Bijan,

We would be able to make the two pieces for you. Depending on the type of foam you would want standard or high density the price would range. The two types of foam provide great support and comfort over the lesser grade foam you currently have.

-Standard foam would be our better level foam.
    -Standard foam: $290

High Density foam would be our best level foam.
    -High Density foam: $536

The cover would be made out of a grey vinyl fabric that would attach with velcro. We could put a zipper on the covers that would be under the flaps to help protect the mattress from any fluids going through the zipper or we would sew it closed which means the only way to remove the cover is to cut it off. The price for the two piece cover set would be $150 with zipper or $180 sewn closed. Shipping would have to be calculated once we get an address from you."

@Iggy I would also 100% buy the 3D printed male 'elbow' that screws in to the Webasto female backing nut that passes through the bed box if you are making them.
