Hi @prise I see you have a rally runner. Is that a xrunner? You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

 

Yes Sir she’s an X-runner with ko2s for the bros! No jumps but she gets sideways when I leave the car wash

 

A x-runner with Ko2's?!?!?!? Is it red? I have a hommie that use to have a red xrunner on Ko2's. Would bring it out camping all the time. Sideways out of a carwash is the only way I can get sideways now. Got to figure out how to post pics.

 

Not red she’s speedway blue with a grandpa camper on the back.

 

Seen more dirt than most the trucks on TW.

I left my house this morning and found a decent size oil puddle under the runner. After looking around and checking levels I have no idea where its coming from. A little oil on the front diff but levels are all good. I am getting sick of fixing this thing. May be time to upgrade like everyone else.

X runner? I dont know what I want to do yet. With the new position I am in I need something I can haul in. I dont really know how much I am going to need yet. I have things to think about. Told the wife I am shopping for a new truck.......she wasnt too happy that I am shopping before she gets a new vehicle and so we are back to me taking her truck and her looking at new runners.

 

Does it have the 3.5 in it like the Turd Gen? I just got mine back from the dealership for the 2nd front main seal in 30,000 miles. Look on the PS pump. If there is oil on that, it is your front main seal.

Edit, I see its a 97 now. No help here.

 

Yeah 97 runner. I will figure it out. Was just a bit weird that all of a sudden I had a bunch of oil on the ground. I didnt have time to crawl under it this morning. I will look into it further when I get home.

 

I have been dealing with power steering in my 90 for a while. You running PS fluid in it or ATF? It will leak all over the place if you are just running PS fluid. Needs transmission fluid.

Been cleaning up 30 years of that crap for 2 months.

Power steering fluid. Yeah I saw that 90's you scored. Lucky! I use to have a 91 single cab with shell and carpet kit. Was a great little truck for living in southern cali being a surf bum.

 

Oh nice!!! Last thing I need is a SC. Then go camping with Josh. That spells trouble.......Again lol

You should flush the power steering out and put ATF in it. I bet these phantom leaks will stop.
