    All is good and thank you to Magnuson and OVTune for bird dogging the tech’s issues. Overall pretty damn happy. Now I want the TRD CAI. Is it too late for that and does it simply plug and play into the existing snorkel? (Similar to Safari, etc? I’ve installed two Safari’s on two separate FJ’s) this look will round out the engine bay!

    got that - just wondering what his 'issues" were - install or flash. And if flash - like I said vFTuner Flashing is a no brainer - if it if related to the install - well it would be nice to know what those issues were.

    Did anyone else get a suspicious looking email from Magnuson a few minutes ago? It's a .zip file containing what appears to be a Word file. Not exactly what would appear to be a tune update

    Yes I did. I opened it on my old phone just to see what was in it. It is almost certainly malicious. The file is just text saying to allow editing. I’ll give magnuson a call later and let them know.

    edit: they are aware of it. Do not open the file if you get one that requires a password to open.

    Yeah - i sent them an email back too. Looks like someone's email got compromised...

    On a side note - that happened to me a few years ago too. I got hacked while on Delta's airport lounge wifi. When they did it the hacker also created a rule in my outlook that automatically delete all emails that contained my name which took my IT forever to figure out why I wasn't getting emails.

    Normally they create that rule on OWA as most people only use the local client because the rule won't show on the local Outlook client but it will process that rule. I've dealt with the issue hundreds of times now and it's always the same, if you're seeing something odd, login to your email online and check your Rules.

    yep - common with the SW - have to know to disable certain MicroSoft virus defenses or it will stop any flash.

    I guess you’d have to start with defining “tried”. Then I’d potential run a virus scan and possibly install your latest backup from before the “tried” event.
