My in-laws have a house at wintergreen. And im headed to snowshoe first week of Jan. Lets meet up at either sometime!

 

Would love to see a video of that!

 

So I’m too old to worry about bending over as well, but I did not fall in love with the step ons. Snowshoe is awesome for demo and you should see if they work for you. I like to carve and dominate my edge control and the little bit of give in the step-ons have was too much for this noob. But I’m used to my super stiff boots and they only had soft boots when I demoed.

Yeah, with y'alls blessing, I may have to steal that for the back of mine....so much better than the dead head. lol And, I couldn't agree more! I used to think he was somehow invested in JEI(whether he was part-owner or not, I never knew); learned I was wrong about the owner part when I called him about a motor one day out of the blue, only to learn he had opened up shop down the street. I'm sure he will do well, I know he personally has a damn good reputation, and I never hesitate to recommend him to people. Always thought highly of that dude.

 

That looks like a blast, especially from where I'm sitting.....behind a damn desk. hahaha

 

Might be because they only have the Ruler boots at Snowshoe, which are softer than the Photon boots. When I called about demoing them last year the guy on the phone said he thought the Rulers would be stiff enough because the bindings are pretty stiff and compensate, but sounds like your experience didn't validate that (at least for you). I guess there's only one way to find out and just go try them out.

 

Don't need my blessing! I had asked Phil if he was going to have those decals made, but never got a definitive answer. I had asked @wtflint to make me the decal as kind of a one-off deal, and I gave Phil the extras that I had. I know he is sporting one on the back window of one of his cars (RX I think?).

 

I'd like to hit Snowshoe next week and demo the step ons, right now I'm thinking the 23rd (they're already sold out of lift tickets for certain days). Hopefully they have more lifts and trails open by then.

 

Ill be there Jan 4th and 5th if anyone else ends up there let me know

Meet at the Sheetz at 9 am, 20 ish minute ride to Big Levels 4X4 Trail. We will head south from there from there ending at the southern entrance.

Getting that last run in for the year before it closes down, huh. Right on.

Just a reminder that the mud holes will be full with all the rain over the last few weeks. Which will make them wide, long and deep.
