I've been keeping an eye on Craigslist because I want some Predator Tube Steps, these two listings have been up for a bit.

Hello! Fairly new to Tacoma’s and definitely new to the forum. I moved to MN in August last year and live in Woodbury. I picked up my first Tacoma from Walser in August this year. I found a 2020 trade in with only 800 miles on it and I couldn’t pass up a new/used deal like that. Since then I’ve been glued to this forum and I’ve done more mods than I thought I would to a brand new truck and have plenty more mods on the list!

Tacoma accessories/mods are addictive. I've spent more money modding my new truck than I have on all my previous vehicles, combined.

Welcome! And I can speak from experience that the more time you spend around here the less money you will have.

Any Minnesotans happen to have a Second Gen OEM exhaust (catback) collecting dust in your garage? Happy to take it off your hands!

I replaced my exhaust last year after it got a big hole. I just picked one up from NAPA it was around $200. Beats the $600+ from the dealer.

I don't like how cold temps make plastic brittle. I just got my bumper caps that were ordered 2 months ago. I feel like the step where you have to pull up on the middle section of the bumper will break little plastic tabs. It's the only chrome left on the truck, so you can understand my dilemma even if you only have a tiny trace of OCD.

How many of you drive in 4WD this week with the snow storm?

im new to 4x4 and engaging it and what not. I got the hang of turning it on and off. I’m trying to gage if I’m doing it wrong tho cause I read so much of how to use it sparingly, etc. — however the past day or two it’s been a mix of dry/wet pavement and thick ice and snow and I keep going back and forth from 2wd to 4WD. Let me know how you guys managed/what you typically do

For me, I use it only on covered roads where I 100% know there is wheel slip. Never on dry pavement and if I am using 4x4 I always shift back to 2wd when entering parking lots unless its completely snow covered, then it's ok to leave it in 4x4 there too. Basically, only use it when the roads are slick enough to where the drivetrain can't bind up.

That’s pretty much it. You’ll know when you shouldn’t be in 4x4 because the wheels won’t want to move

I live right on the Eagan Burnsville boarder.... Eagan I guess gave up before the storm even hit as cliff road is still a sheet of ice with multiple crashes per hour on it.... yet they wont salt it. 4wd did nothing for me there.

I've noticed it's been hit or miss road to road with this last storm. I'd like to know who picks what gets taken care of

Yeah for real, Ive been here for 36 years and never have I seen cliff road still covered in ice for more than a day. Cliff to 77 south exit has had the stop light hit several times already since that storm. The police and a tow truck come out every time... at what point are they going salt it... hell I will salt it myself.

The residential areas around me are all still snow covered too, the main roads though are pretty clear. Reminds me a lot of when I used to live in CO, they never plowed because there, they'd just wait and 2-3 days later it would be 60 degrees and everything would melt, but for those two days the roads were hell - idk how anyone with a small 2wd car got anywhere lol. I wonder if that's the play here, just leave them until it gets warmer :notsure:
