Well work gave me $100 Amazon gift card. Wow talk about a bonus o_O oh everyone gets one for same amount no matter if they’re schmucks or not. I really see incentive to try harder. :bananadead:

Small rant with my boss, anyways, that’s $100 to put towards cold riding gear so there’s that.

Gonna be sporting knock off gear for sure.

Same here. They gave everyone the hundo since they can't do the holiday lunch because Covid, which are usually awkward anyway, so I'll take money.

Got notice today we aren’t getting any bonuses, but we are being given stock shares. Not surprising seeing as how we are still hurting for cash flow tremendously.

fellow aero nerd here. We were not given any COL raises in 2020 and were told they would be combined with 2021 and be assigned jul 21 (typically they roll out that kind of schedule, you find out Q1 and they’re effective Q3). We had a hell of a year as well and honestly I’m happy to still have a job. A few wee-at-a-time furloughs but we got through it.

no yearly holiday bonus and no COL raises though. Which is a little bit painful as a Sr QA engineer, since we had two juniors leave on their own during the pandemic for pay raises and better prospects.... welcome to aero! When it’s good it’s awesome, when it’s bad it’s baaaad. First to fall and slowest to recover.

Thankfully, I’m defense, but when commercial side gets hurt...we all hurt. We are having record sales and production in our programs and still don’t get rewarded lol. Gotta pay for big brother to stay afloat until somebody buys some planes haha

yeah same thing here. I work for a multi discipline company. We were killing out but our electrical sector was down so we had great sales and metrics but had to tell our teams and operators “hey uhhhh no extras for working your ass off because an entire other industry isn’t doing as well as our plant”. Has its pluses and minuses.

    I’m not a QA. I’m a product review engineer.

sounds like a product engineer where I am? theyre responsible for failures that come back and data analysis stuff? where test engineers (QA) are responsible for ensuring tests are running along with other stuff?

right now I’m mostly production QA focusing on keeping work instructions and control plans updated. I’m slated early next year to stay in QA but focus more strategically to conduct audits, maintain our plant level approval processes, our non conformances and non conforming material controls. A lot of it is driving investigations either in failure analysis or root cause analysis, and putting in a permanent corrective action so that the same things can’t happen again. I’m also our repair station QA systems manager (nobody reports to me) so I manage 2 quality manuals and our EASA supplement to the FAA manual (the CAAC being the other qa manual) as well as doing final inspection and approvals to ship for the FAA repair station. I’m also working on several new product development roll outs where we work directly with suppliers and customers and ensure supplier abilities and customer conformances.

    I’m fun at parties.

eh, their stock shares are up though. I bought into them during covid. I'm not sure how company stocks like that work since I've never been anywhere that offers it though, but I doubt their giving you common stock.

It’s valued at the same value you see. So it could end up being worth more than a bonus, it could not.

Lol. We do all right. Aero is cool, and I just bought that GT so I can’t complain.

check into that - you might get it at a lower price. And can sell for market straight away depending on your stock plan. If I were you though it’s BA. decent dividend, I’d just hold onto it forever.

Anyone use any type of frame protection? Anybody have experience with specifically All Mountain Style / AMS? Curious on your thoughts. Debating slapping these on the bike.

Yeah it won’t work that way as far as I know. Not too many details but I assumed it got put into our 401k. Which I’m fine with. It’s better than nothing like we got last year haha

ooo that’s not bad then. Yeah typically there’s a “company stock fund” with little to no management fee, that way it works like a MF where you can drop in 100$ instead of needing to specify X shares.
