    Smells like money to me!

We would drive past the USS coke plant in the Mon valley and my wife would talk about how much coal stinks. I told her it smelled like money. Every time I smelled coal while on the clock I was doing road work at power plants. Road work ment $5-7.50+ an hour over shop rate, was a minimum of 12s, and $64+ a day per diem cash. Coal is my money smell. :hungry:

My father-in-law is a plumber/drain cleaner. We all know what his money smell is... :anonymous:

Actually it matches my wife Rav4, which is lunar rock. My wife chose the color for the rail. I learned long ago to let her pick the color for everything. So, we probably got about 6 inches so far. I just spent about an hour shoveling the driveway. I'm beat. My 12 year old grandson came out to give me a break, but he didn't stay long. He had a video game party to join with his friends.

Any time I get called in (decon or fire investigations) it’s a min of 2 hours pay, plus however long it takes. So a 20 min decon = 2 hours pay, a 4 hour investigation is 4 hours. Works out nice. This will likely be for 10 hours. Not sure honestly since we are working 12’s right now.

We in Pittsburgh have a term for guys like you. LOL. It's 6 letters long, starts with a "j" and ends with a "f". Seriously, my wife always wanted to live in Hawaii. I am sure the weather is sweet, especially this time of year. I actually prefer it cool. I walked my dog about 2 miles earlier in the day and spent about an hour shoveling tonight. The weather when it is like it is now ( about 30 degrees) doesn't bother me at all. As for the snow, I could have just let it lay and blew through it with my 4 wheel drive in the morning, but somehow my obsessive compulsive side told me to go shovel the snow out of the way.

Weather update: at least 8 inches of powder. It was coming down hard enough you can't tell I just shoveled.

    Ahhh, u know I’m only playing :)

I used to live 8500ft up in the CO Rockies with really dry snow. You could go out and get rid of 12” of snow with a leaf blower.

I desperately miss my dog and those beautiful walks in the snow, especially late at night with a full moon, no need for a torch.

Hawaii’s great but no seasons :(

Joking aside... sending everyone good vibes to stay well and safe...

8500 feet, that's above the tree line? My friend used to live in CO above the tree line as he tried to cultivate a llama farm. He gave it up after awhile and moved back into town.

Nah, tree line in CO is closer to 11,000. Wasn’t too bad just stuff stayed frozen longer... we were just above Estes Park, beautiful area...
I know people with a couple of llamas, good bait for mountain lions :)
