Old Navy surprisingly has some good ones and they have back pockets which sets them apart for me. I have a lot from MyProtein that are comfy, but no back pocket. I also have a pair from Barbell apparel that’s comfy and has a back pocket. They were a gift though so I can’t attest to the price/value

    All clear!

Beltless squats today hit 505 and 525 and it felt like cake. Decided to break there and not push till I work up my core some more.

It's a weird situation here now and I'm not sure how I feel yet... So my gf is still coughing a little and isn't fully recovered, however, I've been masked up in the house, sanitizing myself and anything before I touch it, and we are staying away from each other, and I haven't caught it yet. But if she's still showing any symptoms then really at any time I may potentially catch it, right? Idk at least I know I don't have it while being asymptomatic currently.

I talked to my nurse friend who works around covid patients and she told me it's not really different than her going to the gym or being in public even though technically she's around covid positive people. She said as long as I'm wearing PPE when close, distancing myself, and not showing symptoms I'm good. Idk, do I need to get a test every freaking day or just call it good if I'm not feeling sick?....

I’d say the second option is good. Wife’s a ICU nurse and that’s how we’ve been playing it.

It really comes down to risk. When you work or live with somoene that has covid, the risk of you getting it goes up.
The best choice obviously, is to wait until that person feels better then get tested a few days later. Then all that is past you and you can feel confident.
Now if you decide that you rather go to the gym because you cant wait (prob 6-7 days now) then thats your choice. You as a person have decided that your need for the gym is greater than the % possibility you infect someone at the gym.
Is the % small? Probably, but thats why its a risk.
Thats up to you to make the decision.

Think about it. If everyone makes the same risk decision , overall everyones risks go up and infections go up.
Its just like going shopping for food everyday. Obviously, you are more at risk since you go out and see people everyday. You can decide to shop once a week, and that reduces everyones risk. As a community, if everyone chose the lower risk option, overall there would be a large reduction in infections.

If you dont care about the virus, then that's a different story. Some people have decided that they dont care. I'm impartial to ur decision, just discussing the views on it.

    Side note:
Some fuck was coughing away at the gym today. IMO if you're gonnabe coughing during a pandemic, just stay home. Even if you're not sick, why even go to a gym coughing when tensions r high.

Don't get me wrong I do care about it. I've been skipping family events because I have high risk family members and I've already quarantined 3 times this year during comp prep... I'll admit it's getting old. It would be a different story if I was sick or tested positive, then I would 100% stay put. I also go to the gym when there are only 4-5 people there and I wear a mask moving to the next machine/rack. I haven't coughed, sneezed, or anything like that once.

I guess I'm gonna do this rapid test every other day of the week and if it comes back positive I'll stay home. Once she's not showing symptoms and I'm not sick I'll feel better about it.

technically, you are symptomatic for as long as you carry symptoms. Typically you’re deemed not contagious 10 to 14 days after symptoms have resolved.
So technically you should probably act like you have it until she is free of symptoms for that period of time.

This is kind of a crazy virus. In my family, anytime one person has tested positive pretty much any of us that have come in contact with that one person ends up getting sick or testing positive. Even if it was minor exposure.

But PPE seems to be really effective because my family whos doctors or nurses that work with these patients havent popped up with it.

    No. But lets now.

    I say:
    BROSCIENCE!

    What say everyone else?

Actually I say broscience to the 1g or more per pound of body weight. Especially if a person isn’t lean. You don’t need macroscto sustain fat tissue.
The 0.75g/lb is probably closer to realistic.

So .75g/lb all day would be more beneficial than just trying to eat 40grams right after a workout?

I feel what becomes really important is understanding the exact people and circumstances we speak of when trying to make nutritional generalizations.
An advanced bodybuilder in contest prep is going to have different nutritional requirements than a power lifter, strong man, or just the average joe trying to look good nakid.

Some people may benefit from nutrient timing and incredibly meticulous macro counting than others.

So stating ahead of time I am aware there are exceptions, but for most of us I think the concept of a delicate anabolic window is not valid. Getting the nutrients you need within your daily diet is vital to success. Do I think that needs to mean one must eat 50g of protein within 43 minutes and 17 seconds post workout? No. Theres really no evidence of that.
The notion of an anabolic window being 30-40 minutes is not really supported. You can eat a couple hours after a workout and be fine.
