I'm sure someone could 3d print something. But I don't see it as a major issue.

    Nice. Nothing wrong with that.

Anyone know how to match a blocks serial number to a VIN? Curious if my T100 still has the original engine. A quick google search wasn't too helpful.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I thought Toyota serials were just encoded production dates, I didn't think the drivetrain had any distinguishing match marks to the body or frame

I bet it could be 3D printed with little effort.

0597264 is what is stamped on the block above the oil filter. I suppose that makes sense. According to the vin the first use date was June 06 97. Good odds it would be the original too with dates that close.

The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
I couldn’t find one either but ordered them anyways. My plan is to take some abs plastic and very, very loosely mold it around the terminal and Velcro it to the battery. In all reality though, the cover on my current setup is almost always somewhere besides over the terminal.

Yep. Look at the first post of my build thread, for my dual battery post.

In the truck now or I’d link to it.

What did I do with my Tacoma today? I sold it. Realized a 1st gen double cab wasn’t gonna be good for car seats when me (6’2”) and my wife (5’10”) have kids. So I’m moving on to a first gen sequoia. It’s bittersweet to say the least. First time since I got my license I haven’t had a pickup truck, and the first time since I was 17 that I haven’t owned a first gen Tacoma. My dealership gave me a decent price for it, but it’s now for sale on their website and I was beyond amazed at what they were askingD711C000-4FEC-4B01-81B5-1AC3F89B9AF3.jpg

If people actually pay those prices in Colorado I'm going to start buying them around here and taking a road trip to Colorado every month.

I've almost done that. My 2nd batter had a wing nut on the positive terminal that was holding the cables to the stud. The tips of the wing nut would hit the hood on impacts...could not figure out what was causing shit to come on and of until I spotted the melted holes in the hood brace haha

Swapped to a normal nut and was good.

Blue seas covers are super simple. Once my dad has his 3D printer up and running Im confident I can make one for these nice terminals.

Go ahead and laugh, but this took me nearly two hours. :frusty:

The previous owner had put two pieces of duct tape on the door seal years ago for some unknown reason. The seal was in great shape, and there's no leak issue. Only guess is that the seal was misshapen and he was trying to force it back? If so it worked. But the tape left behind a residue now more crust than goo.

I assailed it with my micro fiber cloth and car wax, and after a nearly two hour campaign came out with the win. :muscleflexing:
