I didn’t mind the look of my ‘21 Off Road grill, but the more and more I looked at the pro grills the more I liked them better than the OR. I said I wouldn’t do it, but I caved so I can be a bro now too. Added some “heritage” stickers just because I’ve been a Toyota fanboi since my first vehicle at 16 years old (an ‘86 4x4 Xtra Cab pickup). I’ve always had at least one Toyota in the fam ever since.

Ok - I cannot 'not' ask anymore... What is the fear with the license plates?? I mean - are they not plain for everyone to see as you go down the road?

I like the pro grill, but I also like the 2020 grills. They're way better than the chrome cheese graters

I love my Pro Grille with the raptor lights. I gave up on covering my license plate.

 

Weirdos on the web combined with access to unlimited info will forever make me block my plate in posted pics. Hell, I don't even like posting pics of my truck or even the state I live in.

I understand the dislike for the Pro grille because it's so popular. If the cheese grater grille had been as popular people would hate it too. So don't feel weak. It's your truck, not anyone else's.

Personally, when I started looking into getting a Taco, I was planning to pick up an OR and didn't care for the grille. I checked out every grille I could find, and personally, I think the Pro grille is the best looking grille for the Taco. If I had ended up buying an OR, I would have swapped to a Pro grille, despite what the haters think.

I painted my 2017 grill black and thought it looked good and I did it to cover the chrome to fend off getting the pro grill. Well the paint chipped on my grill so I gave in and got a pro grill. It looks way better now but makes me want to get a scooped hood.

I think I’ll keep it around for a while and make sure I don’t have any issues with my sensor (so far so good). I’ll probably sell it soon tho.

 

If I had a 16 or 17 I’d have a pro grille. I don’t like how the pro looks with the radar thing on it. I really like how seamless it is with the OR/Sport grille though. Honestly if I had a pro I’d consider down grading just because of that bezel. It just sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

I mean, we had a car left out front of our office for a while. We got the vin, plate, etc and couldn’t figure out who owned it. After 60 days we called the police to report it, I think.
