i never took a before and after measurement

all i can say is my front is lifted at exactly 3 inches and the rear is level with the front. so im guessing 2 inches of lift in the rear maybe 1.5 idk

when I got them I swapped leafs to run them on option 2 cause icons site says option 2 if you run a constant 200 pound load. well they road like shit on option 2 and even with my 600 pound quad in the box I had MAYBE a quarter inch of squat. option one is money even with weight in the back

I’ve gained about 1-1.5” in the rear after fully settling on Option 1. I wished I notated how much gas I had in the tank but I’d guess it was half to full. Only constant weight I have back there is my full-size spare

I was interested that you say they ride better than the Icon AAL. Did you have to add any weight to the back to achieve the smooth ride? I notice they are rated for a little bit of weight in the back which usually translates to rough ride without.

No, I typically have the bed unloaded.
The stage 1 units I went with are rated for 0-300 lbs. Unloaded, the truck rides better than stock and MUCH better than the Icon AAL. Loaded, the truck rides so smoothly that it actually surprised me. I really had no idea that a Tacoma could ride so comfortably. There is no harshness whatsoever on big holes and small bump compliance is outstanding. The set up is seriously butter smooth yet still very responsive.
When I had the AAL installed, I believed that the 5160 valving was creating the increased harshness vs the stock setup. I was worried that the increased capacity of the Deaver leaf pack was going to also be harsh. Well, I was wrong. 100% of the poor ride characteristics where resolved with I installed the full leaf pack.

Not trying to derail the thread with the Deaver info. The point is that a full leaf pack is a much better solution that an AAL. I highly recommend saving a bit longer and avoiding the AAL. I know I wish I would have. The full leaf pack will have a much better ride, have increased load capacity and the install is even easier. Do it right the first time.

That being said, I have leaves from a 2020 short bed double cab TRD off-road with Icon 1.5" AAL installed for sale :anonymous:
