It’s going to be a while. Figured I’ll stop investing into the current setup (after it finally gets rebuilt). Slowly tinker and learn about axles and geometry while I am building the axles. Going to be interesting to learn all of this. Where a lot of the fun in this hobby is for me. The tinkering.

Aussies had the right idea about off roading and camping and the world is only just learning about it.
    :pccoffee:
i'm envious too and i'd love to build something like it. I'm too far into my mess of a build to switch at this point (tonneau cover, bed rails, back rack), it's sunk cost fallacy and i'm aware of it but too stubborn to switch just yet.

Couldn’t tell you. I’m sure they are much cheaper and have more adjustability. The one good thing about the 2.0 is they are all aluminum. Was why I was going to run @Norilsk old ones. But they are not designed to run heavier springs (700lbs) that I wanted. Plus the rebuild on his shocks and coils, I said screw or and went full send with some Elkas 2.5’s.

    Welcome to the group!
    :worthless:
yeah i'm considering the shocks, do you have any idea what the weights of those springs that are on there?
I'm still running the stock OR ones and they're a bit spongy over time due to the added bumper and skid plates

Ya or trade on a Gladiator bump stops and 37s and rip it up !

But anyway as somebody who has wasted so very much money on suspension going cheap then re-doing and re-doing etc. If you have an end goal with your rig and can be patient do it right once. I've run OME, Eibach, Fox 2.0, JKS, Teraflex, Rock Krawler etc. Today I drive a stock Diesel ZR2 and am endlessly pleased with the suspension over OME and Eibach on the Tacoma's I had. Having used Fox 2.0 front stuff on my F150 and 4Runner, it was better than the other brands on the Tacoma but on those unexpected bumps the DSSV shocks are so far in my experience the best I have used.

At the price of LT one could run a Mojave Gladiator with a 1 inch spacer, 1 inch bump stops and 37's, toss on an Antirock sway bar setup and be on the gravy train to clearance, flex and higher speed fun!

I am now prepared for the hate! But having had a TJ, JK, JKU, JL, Gladiator, Tacoma reg cab, Tacoma access cab, 4Runner, F150 reg cab and now the ZR2 I've been pondering what the best middle ground is for me. The real answer is nothing is perfect but 15k on LT is insane when one could run a basically stock rig with 37s and full warranty for the same or less money in the end.
