    Anyways... as many of you have known I have been dying to upgrade to a 4x4 ever since the fateful u-joint incident last june. Well I bought the scout and started working on it. It didn't take long for the reality of how much time and money it would really take to finish this thing. So after several arguements and deliberations with the wife she agreed to let me get a 4x4 taco and sell the scout. So my requirements were a double cab, 4x4, and TRD OR (for the locker). Well i started doing some searching. second gen tacos in my price range with those options were few and far between. When they did show up they would have 90-100k miles or be really beat. so a few nights ago i brought up the option of differnt 4x4 with the wife. at first this turned into a big arguement, but in the end she settled and as long as i agreed to keep whatever i got for 6 years i could get whatever i want. SOOOOOOO I bought a FJ! I got one with half the miles my taco had on it, in much better condition with 4x4 and a locker. The wife even loved it after seeing it and riding in it. I have always loved the FJ. Granted it is not as versatile as the taco, but we can compromise and not take as much shit with us when we go camping. So.... Here it is! and yes... the ugly chrome wheels will be swapped out for black ones as part of the deal! hahahaha.. sorry for the blurry pic i will get better ones later.

    I definitely plan to stay very active over here. I have made some really cool friends. Will be participating in wheeling trips and hosting mod days! Just plan to have some FJs along for the ride!

    I was scared off from getting one because I heard so many complaints
    about the blind spots, and how dangerous they seemed to drive.


    I hear from people that have one that they can't see and it is scary.

    How does it seem to you, can you see well enough?

    Nice Seth! Be sure to check out norcal fj's. Those guys are really cool over there and they set up a lot of mod days, social and trail runs for fellow fj owners!

    Yes locked, but no a-trac.... but apparently all you need is the button to get the a-trac working. I already ordered one!

    2. Yeah, good first gens with that spec and "lower" mileage (I'd say 100k is fairly low) are in short supply and tough to find. But at least they aren't cheap...

    that is a great rig. if i didnt need a truck, i would have gotten an FJ or a 4runner. i even explored the option of a smaller off-road capable trailer.
