The DarkReader Chrome extension. Although, @tcBob said that he is working on a dark mode for TW.

I also force dark mode on my phone. It has been ages, but something about keys or flags?

Nice. The chrome extension I have for dark mode doesn't work well on this site.

This one is okay, but messes up a site or two. Mainly not flipping all of the text.

It works well on TW, IMHO.

I looked at mine and measured, it looks to be within spec. The problem is on the back-side of the pedal where your foot touches, the rod connects to the pedal. The dealer put grease there but it still clicks when pushed.

Did you fix the switch adjustment?

If it clicks as you step on the pedal, then I would suggest a slight tweak to the pushrod on the master. As long as there is the slightest freeplay in all conditions, then life is good. Recheck when cold and hot.

No I did not see any adjustment for the switch in the document?

The click is on the back of the pedal where the pushrod goes into the plastic. Its almost as though that connector is mis-aligned and clicks when depressed. My first pedal did it too so I'm wondering if the push rod is defective. Not wanting to go back to the dealer, just a real pain.

Start on Page 1870 for the clutch parts.

Yes. Mine clicked there also. I adjusted it once a long time ago and it has been great since.

Which step did you do in the procedure to get rid of the click exactly? It looks like the lock nut on the floor button (switch assembly) comes off and the assembly adjusts. "Loosen the lock nut and turn the clutch switch assembly until the height is correct. Tighten the locknut". Sorry I'm a novice at this.

For the click, you just loosen the lock nuts at *b and spin the pushrod itself to lengthen or shorten:

As far as I know, TSB-0112-19 is the latest with the updated parts. But, it is only available during the bumper to bumper warranty period and there have been reports of noise after the TSB work.

IMHO short of actual parts breaking, it is best dealt with in our own driveways.

I was able to loosen the lock nut on the rod. If I make the pedal stiff enough to remove the clicking, it won’t start. If I adjust it a bit so it starts, it clicks. Lose lose situation.

I am really confused. The master cylinder pushrod is independent of the lower switch contact.

I believe what you are saying, but I just can't picture the situation.

    Lemme put it this way:
-- The upper switch sets the resting pedal height.
I can't remember what function that switch does.
-- The lower switch allows the starter to function. I has no real function on the pedal stroke.

-- The M/C pushrod is a mechanical device tied to the clutch slave cylinder.
If adjusted with no free play, the clutch fork will ride the throw out bearing and shorten its life. In an extreme case, could also cause clutch slip.
If adjusted with too much free play, we get clicking. In an extreme case, it could move the engagement point around harmlessly but maybe to the point of incomplete disengagement. Clutch drag.

If you cannot get the adjustment that you want with the lower switch, you could bond on a thin piece of material. For example, a corner of a credit card with some CA glue.

The upper switch is for cruise control I believe. Great info on what you wrote. I adjusted it somewhat snug with no click and tried starting it, it wouldn’t engage the lower switch. Once I backed out and loosened it near where I was before with clicking, it starts every time. By the way, my rod is super loose with slop. I assume that’s normal. I’ll mess with it again soon to try and find a sweet spot.

Ah! I forgot about CC. Thanks!

I hope it helps. It would be interesting if you were bottoming out the M/C stroke?

For the slop, it is normal. I believe, but not 100% certain, that the push rod is separate from the piston. It acts on it similar to the setup on my bike's brakes:

When I push the pedal in all the way and look at the lower switch, it’s only around halfway engaged. Is that normal?

My 04 was not this way at all. You never heard the pedal push.

I can take a look later. I have never had pedal height or switch issues. Just the clicking from the pushrod and squeaking from the spring.

The creaking and groaning started at 22k on my 19 sport , I greased the bushings once
But it seems to me that short of a total pedal disassemble it’s impossible to
Properly lubricate all the pivot points . I had the tsb 0112-19 done , and not
Withstanding the dealers not adjusting the clutch start switch , spilling brake fluid
On the floor mat , unhooking the hood cable , it was totally worth it .
It’s a totally different feel of the clutch , I suppose the new pedal and cylinder engagement
Angles make for a much easier ,lighter pedal . The free play is very distinctive .
Most important my gears are engaging much closer to the bottom of the pedal
Travel . I’m beginning to think that maybe my pedal was never adjusted properly
from day one , even tho I had a dealer Forman tech check at least once .
To those that are on the fence about the tsb , I say GET IT DONE .
    It’s worth it .
