It's fuckin weird, man. Idk how I don't have it yet. It's gotta be the PPE and precautions I'm taking. If she's downstairs with me we both wear masks and I sanitize my hands every time I move lol

I've been sanitizing everything before I touch it and after and not touching my face. I even have a fan blowing away from me 24/7 so anything airborne doesn't float my way lol of course I say this and will probably jinx it now....

Shit. 3 of my coworkers tested positive. We hung out in an office space together without mask every day. Like within 2 ft of eachother. I was negative. Someone had a point and mentioned the idea that i( you in this case) had already had it before and just didn’t show symptoms so now you’re just kinda good. One of those people who carried or caught it before without knowing it.

Potential is still there yes. Absolutely. I'd say you should test every 7-14 days interim, only b/c my wife's work is going that route with everyone regardless (group home agency)

Shit like this is why we are still having issues..UGH

Same..I haven't seen my parents since March b/c they're high risk and my mom has no immunity barely. My wife is in that age group, has allergies, and takes an immunosuppressant. I myself am healthy enough and don't leave the house for work. When my wife was exposed she stayed upstairs (2 small rooms with no door from one to the other as they connect) and sealed herself in the end room. If she came downstairs to eat or pee I would mask up or go outside, she would disinfect as she went etc..fortunately only 3 days of that before she tested negative and never had symptoms.

Are you taking nutrition advice from the 140lbs running guy? :D

While there may be limits on what the maximum amount of protein you might be able to use, more is not going to hurt you and displacing lower value calories is likely beneficial as well. I personally was in the 1g/lbs range when I was bulking, now I’m closer to .85g/lbs.

There are also things that help in protein utilization, including the sauce. But carbs can be protein sparing as well.

Eating a huge amount of protein isn’t a magic bullet but if you are really kicking the shit out of your muscles, I feel that more certainly aids in recovery and growth. What I wouldn’t do is waste a tonne of cash on supplements...protein powder if you can stomach it, and the rest of your cash on real food.

Nah it was really just conversation. I’m doing my thing that works but a guy at work was messaging me saying he used to deadlift triple his body weight and could bench 400. he fast in the morning and does the whole “timing of protein” stuff. So I figured I’d ask in here just because.

If anyone starts a conversation about lifting with the words "I used to lift _______" just walk away.

The rule of the internet/texting is that every lift without evidence is inflated at least 30%.

I’ve been taking the advice of Ryan Humiston by watching his YouTube videos: https://youtu.be/E3vH17tBaKg

What I can practice & replicate is very limited at the moment due to no gym access but, the guy knows his stuff. My buddy who’s a personal trainer(he Really knows about body building and used to compete)also agrees with Humiston’s advice.

Thought I would post it up. You all probably know of him already but...just in case.

He's bang on, and his advice that it's about working the muscle rather than moving the heaviest weight possible translates to all areas of bodybuilding. Strength sports is about making heavy weight feel light and bodybuilding is about making light weight feel heavy.

This is why I rarely talk about how much I can lift online or in person. For one, no one really cares and they just want to talk about themselves. Two, those who do care only care about competition wins and performance, not about how much I say I can lift on social media. There's a reason these ego lifters and "I could deadlift 3x bodyweight" people never show up to a competition...

Wrong. I care about how much you lift. Strength is an amazing feat <3

Even the guys who never lifted all have a buddy who was/is stronger/bigger than you too. At this point what I care about is the learning and progress for myself...that and the fun of pushing myself.

Y’all be around negative people. I’m hella hype man. I agree the “used to lift” is always followed by something unrealistic. But I love hearing how much you lift now or how strong you are. Saw a dude squatting 4 plates yesterday and gave him a fist bump cause fuck yea.
