To be fair, mine is an older second gen so it may be a little different for you. I just caught up in what I saw on IG and on here and thought I needed it too. At least if you do decide you don’t like it, it’s easy to resell!

Same. Tried to save money and use relays etc. It's just such a wiring nightmare. The SP cleans everything up and adding an accessory is such a simple task, which leads to better attention to detail on the mini harnesses and plugs u need for said accessories.

Mmmm, I might disagree with the interior LED lights .. (Depending on the brand you buy..) I upgraded mine and think it's the best mod I've made, which haven't been much. But at least now, I can find all the onion-rings I accidentally spilled all over the floor .. :D

Haha touche. and like all mods, what one might consider useless, another will find invaluable.

I'm still glad I did em ultimately, but could I have survived never upgrading them? absolutely. In contrast to you, my #1 mod I've done was the Grid-It mod for the armrest storage, or LED strip lights for the bed by our very own @mattgecko

-The Tacoma Tune pack for VFtuner. (Not VFtuner itself. It’s cool)

-Any aftermarket cold air intake (unless you just want the extra sound and looks)

-LED lamps if going to be used with the stock Halogen light housings

That's all I use my radio for as well. Stream from the phone and aux cable in from my old iPod Classic. I could hardly care less about the rest.

I installed some LED strip bed lights awhile ago and for me, it is just there and I dont even notice them anymore but everyone that see them, makes positive comments about them and how bright they are. I guess I would notice if they weren’t there! Lol

EDIT: There is one I think was useless but looks cool.....TRD Air Intake. Could have saved the $300+!

That's why I went with the TRD drop in air filter. I've ran CAI's on other vehicles and never noticed a difference other than sound. Different story on something that's not naturally aspirated plus didn't cost much.

What did you not like about E rated tires?

I don't view this as an intentional way to blast people. Nice to have a thread where you can discuss the pro's and con's of items without having to find out the hard way lol.

Such a cheap mod. Plus who wants the gas cap dangling and smacking into the box side? Whoever designed this must have been one of those whom finish their homework on the way to school.

Just loop the tether thing over the clip on the fuel door. Job done.

All for supporting a TW member that came up with a novel idea though.

CB Radio. Go HAM or go home. WAY more functional.

Raptor lights. I had em, I no longer have them. If you dont know why Raptors have them, go find out.

They do well, but E rated tires are usually quite stiff on midsize trucks and heavy to boot. Comes with the territory. I wish Cooper made a C rated ST Maxx. I'd buy those all day long over the E rated ones.

I do however have the backlights on my S8 bar on the roof. At least that tells a spotter if I'm about to head-butt something in the dark so they sorta have a purpose.

Also Dakar leaf springs. They are great for the purpose, but the squeaking...oh the squeaking. Wish I'd have gone Deavers to not have the squeaking.
