I have the new version of the dakar OME . I don't have much squeaking. I could do an AAL to make them HD but I rather get a new leaf pack.

I didn't have squeaking for about a year. Then I apparently hit whatever threshold and now they don't shut up.

I had a lot of these with my 5th gen runner. Prinsu rack (Uhg), rear bumper with swingout, fancy shocks.... All regrettable decisions that should have been avoided. Boy did I get cred, though!

Im keeping mine in for visibility. Flashing them with the switch pro while on the side of the road seems like a good idea to me.

Ive used goo gone on my paint to get rid of the side decal. You need a good amount of heat on that sticker

If they are rigged in a fashion like that, I can dig it.

I have literally every LED on my truck set to flash or strobe with a 2x tap of the SP. Makes me look like a DOT truck if I care to, which has come in handy a few times.

This is interesting, never heard of this complaint before. overlays or replacements?

as for removing badges, i'll give you the method I always use to remove mine.

Hair dryer for a few minutes, distributed evenly across the badge. Use fishing line in a sawing motion to work behind the badge and cut through the adhesive. If it's too hard or you're breaking fishing line, go back with the hairdryer and heat it some more. work your way from one side to the other to cut through all the adhesive, then lightly pull it away from the surface until it separates. some of the adhesive will slightly readhere, but nowhere as strong as it originally was.

Once the badge is off, and you just have adhesive left, get it warm if it isn't still, and roll the adhesive off with your fingers. And yes, goo gone/goof off are both safe to use on car paint if there's any residual adhesive when you're done. But i usually do my best to get all the adhesive off with my fingers if it isn't too old.

Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
Before I bought my 2nd gen I was on a road trip with a buddy in his 2nd gen and we lost the gas cap because his tether had broken years before that. That wasn't his first time losing a gas cap on that truck either. Every vehicle I've owned before my tacoma had something from the factory to hold the gas cap (including a '99 camry). If your tether doesn't brake then yeah, probably something you'd never need and seems a bit gimmicky. But once that tether brakes and you accidentally leave your gas cap on top of your tire when you leave the gas station somewhere in Oklahoma at two in the morning, it becomes much more practical.

Replaced my shift lever knob with one shaped like a dildo. Thought it would be cool, but instant regret.

overdone interior. I have a habit of decking my interior out too much on past vehicles. My current goals are keep it simple and if I add additional comms, or switches, etc, keep it as integrated as possible.

It’s refreshing to have a very sleek interior rather than tablets or other garbage hanging around. I think when you see like an LT’ed Tacoma or something and the interior is basically stock, there is something nice about that.

Oooo another good one I forgot about. A swingout on my rear bumper. That thing was such a pain in the ass and all that weight protruding over the axle was not great. Ended up cutting off the swingout and couldn’t have been happier.

I gave mine a shot of Teflon lube and haven’t heard from them for a few months.

This guy knows what's up. Raptor lights only look good on Raptors, so overplayed with EVERYONE doing them. Saw a set on a Rav4 the other day.

Mine are rigged the same! But for side of the road stuff, I'd use my raptors up front and an Amber strip under the tailgate.

Because they're wide enough that they're required by law. It was a slick way to do it opposed to the redneck lights you see on the roof of super dutys and semis.

Does joining this website count? j/k I heart all the Mods on this site (and on my truck too). :D

You know what they say? Opinions are like gasholes. Putting my gas cap in the gashole brings me great pleasure. I don't care if there's another place to stick it, I just like the feel of the gashole. Nice and tight! And, I bet you saw those raptor lights coming from a mile away... Just saying... :notsure:
