My brother has a Tacoma 09 sports he just bought and told me about this forums. (He's been drooling at all the mods you guys do). I just got my 08 Rugged Trail Edition 3 weeks ago. I love it to death. Went to the desert and never got stuck. My roommate's FJ and my Tacoma were pulling out our other friends' Ford, Chevy, and Dodges out of the soft sand.

I drive a Double Cab 08 Rugged Trail Ed. 4x4 V6 with 6 speed manual Transmission.
The Rugged Trail Package comes with (right off the sticker)
Offroad Tuned Supension w/ Bilstein Shocks,
16" Baja Black (Powder Coated) Alloy Wheels
w/P265/70R16 BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A Tires (I ride one inch lower because of the tire and rim size than my brother's sports edition),
    Locking Rear Diff,
    Front Skid Plate,
    Engine Skid Plate,
    Front Tow Hooks,
115V/400W deck Mtd Power Point (in the bed)
    Fog Lams,
    Remote Keyless Entry
    Cruise Control,
    Cariable Speed Wipers,
Crome Grill Surround and Rear bumper,
    Black Overfenders,
Sliding Rear Window w/ Privacy Glass,
SportsSeats w/ Driver Lubars Support in Place of the standar Bucket Seats,
    Sports Fabric Trim,
    Metallic Tone Instr Panel Trim,
    Leather String Weal and Shifter,
    Sunvisors w/Mirrors & Extenders,
    All-Weather Floor mats,
Side Panel Graphics (this is TRD off-road emblem with the white mountains)

I got the V6 towing Package with Class 4 Hitch (6,500 lbs Max)
    Supplemental Oil Cooler,
    130A Alternator
    Heavy Duty Battery,
    7-Pin Connector w/Converter

    TRD Cat-Back Exhaust System

    Additional Mods:
Moded the the bed side boxes with key locks. (Have 2 sets of keys since I could not find 3 cabinet locks with the same key. Only had 2 so the left side got the 2 matching and the right its own.)
My Rock Sliders just showed up and in the oven for the powder coat.
I order the TRD Super Charger, but the dealer seems to be taking thier sweet time getting it.
The Tail-light Guards will not be here til December.
Trying to find a front bumper guard that will work without modifying my factory front skid plate. If anyone has one that works well, please post. Thx.
The Tonoa cover is ordered but hasn't shipped.
Planing to add an extra 115 volt outlet for the cab. Already have a 200/400 watt converter for just this.
The center dash is all torn up because the Nav Radio I got was malfunctioning and had to be put in for a replacement.

Hope to have pic up soon.

    Thanks Corbra69 & luk8772

Thanks. I want to get a CAI, but want to wait till I get the SC. I'm in Cali, so I have to make sure the CAI is CARB'ed. I sent an email to K&N to see if the 77 series is exempt, since many sites says but K&N's website says other wise. I get the feeling that Cali BAR doesn't want us working on our own vehicles.

Usually I research before buying a vehicle and I was a Wrangler guy, but I got such a great deal on my taco that even the dealer said when he priced matched with the other local deals, I got it cheaper than he could get it for. The torque 4.0 with the 6 speed in my right hand, I knew that this was the truck for me. My Wrangler never felt as nice as the leather on my tocama shifter. After a day, me my brother research the minimum things we would need to go at least light off roading. I don't usually do rock climbing, I like the forest or desert trails. If I really want to do some heavier trails, I'll have to up the suspension and convert to coil overs. I kind of like it the way it is, cross between a performance asphalt street truck and off road truck. (SC, please be in this week!)
Now if I can find a bumper guard with a decent wrench mount that will work without modifying my factory skid plate.

    Defendantly! Thanks!
