Did you happen to read the first post?

The Jomax almost fully enclose the sensor whereas other version leaves a lot of the sensor vulnerable.

The Jomax attach via two points of contact, using OE HW. This creates better load distribution and makes them more resilient to impact damage. With the single, long bolt mount - what happens if it gets hit hard enough? Bend, shear the bolt which in turn could cause damage to the sensor itself.

What happens if the bolt on the single retaining design loosens? Guard could rotate leaving the sensor exposed.

Attached some install pics from my Tundra.

    Cool product

Not sure if it justifies 250 bucks for what you get.

Is it when diagnosing and a sensor replacement can cost up to $450?

What happens if you are wheeling in the middle of nowhere and lose your 4x4 ability due to a sensor being damaged? What happens if your favorite spot is 4x4 in/out - what happens if you damage the sensor towards the end of the way into that spot?

It really is cheap insurance for the unexpected.

That's a pretty piece of hardware. And that's a pretty good justification if you're wheeling hard trails, especially solo.

    Then dont buy them.

You pay for unused insurance on a daily basis, same concept.

Some details from a user on my tundra page,

I broke one ABS 500 miles from home on a 3 day adventure. Lets just say if you invested in an ABS guard it'll save you a piece of mind. Here's what will happen if you brake an ABS sensor starting with the worst case scenario first:
    1. in 4-lo broken sensor will lock you in and will not disengage from 4-lo therefore your either driving 4-lo all day long or tow your vehicle.
    2. A broken sensor in 4-Hi, its possible that it may disengage and and engage in 4-hi but you will not have any notice unless you are listening to the actuator.
    3. Broken ABS sensor in regular 2WD, Dash light will for ABS comes on, 4HI and 4Lo Flash, no communication to 4-wheel control module, center differential lock code, open circuit code.

Usually, a broken sensor will cause a combination of 1 and 3, and 2 and 3. You may get lucky replacing the ABS without having to reset the codes on your OBII. If you don't have Techstream to diagnosis, a trip to dealership starts at $150 and it goes up from there.

All it takes a small rock to smash the Abs sensor.

I probably won't buy them. If I end up running through sensors I might, though.

One is extortion and required, the other isn't.

(DIRK NOT DIRECTED AT YOU BUDDY) Guys, CNC parts include design, finish set up, plus machining time, finishing, packaging... my point is, you can’t just sh*t parts that look cool and function well. CNC Machine shop busting these out at $250 is a good price for what you get. Nothing is FREE! These are awesome USA made parts that support our fellow Toyota fans. (I AM A FOMER PROTOTYPE MACHINE SHOP OWNER) if you need to try and justify why these aren’t for you then move on. Don’t be an ass and try to sh*t on someone’s design and business. Support them or don’t, but do it with respect.

To be fair, that's the old SDHQ product. They have been updated for a while now. But you're both from the same town and are making similar competing products, so you probably already knew that.
    https://sdhqoffroad.com/products/07...unner-05-current-tacoma-sdhq-built-abs-guards

I do like that you use the existing hardware and have two points of contact (for over twice the price)

I really don't think anyone has been disrespectful in this thread. It's all just feedback for op to consider.
