    I love seeing someone that puts in the work get rewarded. He’ll look back on this season for MANY reasons, some bad and some great. Good for him and good on you.

    Random question for you all. Where in the US do you think the change occurs going from a total point count to a side x side count on deer? That like a Kansas and East of it is total and west of that is side by side count? Always made me wonder why it’s not consistent.

    Ya, I have always hunted Midwest mostly Northern MN, where the wolves/coyotes and others cleaned up the gut pile in a hurry, nothing wrong with the way ya do it, my biggest concern would be when the processor got to them, everyone here guts them where they drop, different parts of the country do it differently, Thanks for the reply!

    Thanks everyone for the high fives!

    We watched this deer for 10 minutes this evening, Cole was so nervous and so was I. It’s the biggest one he’s ever had in front of him and he did awesome.

    The deer was about 60 yards when he shot and he folded like an accordion. High lung with his youth .243, found the bullet when I skint him at the edge of the opposite shoulder. Been a long time since I skint one for a shoulder mount :thumbsup:
