They are expensive but I seem to have a sensitive taint. They say more saddle time and it gets better which is easier said than done nowadays.

Osprey Raptor 10 when I am solo or during races. Shorter rides I'll have a hip pack like @jjones.yota said.

What saddle are you running? You shouldn't be having taint pain.

Its the factory WTB seat that came on my Pivot trail. I would say its more discomfort than pain.

Others may be able to provide better advice (I've got an Iron Grundle) but I've heard great things about the Ergon Pro.

I have too. I am a personal fan of Fabric Scoop Radius saddles. Jives with me.

Everyone is built a little different, but WTB saddles slay me, doesn't matter which one.

So I think saddle issues on the trainer are different from regular. I went through a whole process last year finding a saddle on my road bike that I also used on the trainer. Had an old bintrager, switched to bontrager montrose which was worse, ends up with Ergon SR comp. i thought I was good to go until this year when I started trainer rides and the discomfort is back. No numbness just plain discomfort. Part of it is Sitting in the same position for so long.

my new road/gravel bike has a WTB volt which feels like the most comfortable thing. I haven’t been able to find one online or I’d try it on my trainer bike too.

Oh well. You could probably cobble something similar together using your parts bin and the contents of that bottom drawer of your night stand.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m sure there is a dropper post out there that could accomplish a similar effect

Usually numbness can be fixed by a saddle with the divot or cut out in the middle. Lots of LBSs have saddle demo programs and many saddles have 30 day returns. Only way to find what fits your special taint IMO.

Good to know! I don't have the Tacoma yet, but I am due to receive a new 1up rack any day now. Replacing a 13 year old Yakima Hold Up Rack that is currently mounted on Subaru Crosstrek. I plan to have a new Tacoma (TRD OR DCLB) within the next two months with plans to put a cap on the back for sleeping and storage. But I gave no thought to the opening of the rear tailgate / cap hatch with that rack with and without bikes mounted on it! For those of you with rear caps and 1up racks, please feel free to respond. I am sure this is addressed somewhere in this thread, but I don't have the time to scroll thru 1,255 pages at this time. I will in due time!

Not to be a dick but... dude, you’ve still got a job. Our country’s not in a good place financially, having a steady job in these times is freakin miracle. Being upset about getting stock instead of getting a raise, that’s kinda...

That’s what I run. Super comfy, but everyone’s sitting bones are different.

This might help you out, at least to get started. 1ups fit with most caps, and you can adjust them fore/aft some. Mine fit just fine with the Softopper, window down, but the Softopper sits angled back more than most caps. Check out the link for some pics.
