    we hired someone to add a bedroom to our house. Until the kiddo was 5 she slept in our room because the only other bedroom in the house was downstairs. I ended up having to redo most of the guys work. I don’t think I’ll have to worry about being outsourced any time soon.

    Super stoked for you and the boy! I’m sure you’re tired after all that excitement and evening chores. But I’m sure you and him will remember this for the rest of your lives.:yay:
    The wife gave me permission to abandon all chores and dad duties to work on the Christmas present (playhouse) so I’m out here caulking seams in preparation for paint. And doing some repair work on the crap windows I bought for this project.
    Have to remove the glass and re-prep for silicone. They did no prep, and used 1/2 the silicone they should have. FYI, nothing sticks to glossy powder coat! :facepalm:
    I’ll be managing “daddy daycare & glass repair” (patent pending) tomorrow.

    I hired one person in my 10 years of home ownership, and it was to finish the exterior painting job I started. I was madder than a wet hen with the crap job they did. More paint on my porch boards than the walls.
    Edit: I also hired a well to be drilled, that’s one I would never DIY!
