Keyless entry conversion when electric locks already there?

    I was going to install this kit (

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L4LTXSK) but when I started digging into the kick panel I found that I already had the factory 3200 module that had not been activated. I was able to get a new fob from the dealer and, after Toyota's crazy pairing routine, everything worked perfectly. Also did the "free alarm mod" while in there. I have a GBS (glass breakage sensor) on-hand to install but haven't attempted that yet.

    Picked up this fob as a spare but haven't tried pairing yet so I can't guarantee compatibility:

    The thread you linked implied that any 2004 truck with power door locks has the capability to pair with a fob, even if it doesn't come with one. I don't know if that is true, but you could start with looking for the RS3200 module, as was said above me could be found in the driver's kick panel. If you're going to add a keyless entry system (assuming you do not have the module) I'd recommend a system made by Viper, or any company that is owned by their parent company DEI/Directed. I wouldn't trust a cheaper unit to be connected to my central locking system, or to not drain my battery over time due to poor design. I have the Viper 3100, basically the cheapest system available from them, and the only complaint I have is that connecting/disconnecting the battery WILL set the alarm off and you just gotta press the unlock button on the fob to get it to stop.
