My uhm, thoughts were pleasantly shared with others :burp:

    Like a top thanks!

Driving it to and from Fresno twice a week which has added a lot of miles; I need to start hitting trails again.

Some here might get jealous or think I'm some kind of whore :anonymous:

    @Cutter_

With the exception of the shackles, all that stuff is scrap metal and worthless (unless you can recycle the leaf pack and coils).

A lot of people can't give it away, and at 100k miles, the shocks are well past their life.

    Just a heads up :burp:

Theres lots of videos on turning leaf springs into swords.... Might come in handy for 2021.

But ya,that stuff is worth its weight in scrap. Approximately $4. If you're lucky, they'll give it to you in the form of $2 bills.

At least one guy here asked how much his OME coilovers were worth at 60k miles or so; that's a better quality coilover than the Bilstein 4600 being offered by @Cutter_ and even that one is worthless.

Non serviceable shocks with high mileage get tossed.

The coil he had on it though, that'd last someone else a good while.

Done with the cutting and welding I hope, got it all primered up with the spray gun. Was hoping to get it done before I run off to see the immediate family for Christmas, but it looks I'll be painting again when I get back - 24 hour dry times kinda suck. Oh well, not like this project has ever been in a hurry

Whats this I hear about you building a crawler?

Also, HVLP guns have lids for a reason... :homer:

Not building a crawler; I'd like to buy one in the future (2 years) after having finished with upcoming changes ;)

The 4Runner is as done as it can and should be for someone that won't be rock crawling like @Wulf does.

Its a pretty capable rig as it is, just need to take it out more often which I hope to do with an invite I just got.

Ahhh ok. If you're lucky, @Wulf will have finished the Taco by then and you can take that crawler off his hands. Unless he still wants it, anyway.

Getting out and about definitely is the fun part though, I can't wait to get out and do some camping.

It's a badass rig for sure, and I wouldn't mind having a dedicated crawler that's off-road use only. For the time being, my off-road vehicle is also my on-road vehicle.

Hoping to go camping this January but we'll see; whereabouts will you be heading?

I'll be camping at either Central CA (coastline) or Kings Canyon as I'm going crazy not being able to stay outdoors.

When I saw the top photo on my phone I thought you were drying big sides of beef for jerky or something

The bottom photo..well...I'm eating breakfast so I'll keep those thoughts suppressed

I hadn't really looked that far ahead, but probably somewhere in Missouri or Arkansas as. I need to go through all my gear, some of it was getting pretty ragged after the last big trip. Would love to take a week or so and head out west once I've got all the bugs worked out though.

Only thing keeping me sane this year is work and having endless side projects in the garage. Camping sure would be good to add to the mix though.

I've never heard of Kings Canyon before, that looks amazing!

I get to deal with the stuff that comes up while everybody is out. I dread to see this time of year come along.
