2" of light fluffy the other day here in Indy, so they put down 2.5" of salt....

Ran mine through the wash to get it off. She got Wool Wax a few weeks back so arguably less urgent, but still. Thought I'd throw a pic up to show that despite all the bolted on farkles, Lucille still speaks stock...

We are all trying to meet your unattainable standard for maintenance! I for one appreciate knowing where the bar is set.

Speaking of maintenance. Let's do an OC on mama's ride.

But, but, but what about mine? I just washed it too!

Kidding, kidsmoke's truck is nicer than mine will ever be. Mine's second owner wasn't too kind to it besides oil changes. The original TRD wheels are gonners. Well, I guess I could refinish them down, but I don't have the patience for that anymore

Also digging the snow out of the back of the damn thing was a total PITA. If I wasn't considering trading up to a 3rd gen it would be getting a tonneau cover.

Naw man. That's a beauty. Plus there's a strong bias towards white Toyota's in these parts.

Were your originals wheels the same as mine now? I heard people talking before about how they didn't hold up, scoffed at it, and now, I'm seeing all sorts of chipping in the finish....

2nd gen AC's are the Ambassador for the Breed. Not that I'm biased or anything.

Thank you! The original TRD wheels corroded and chipped badly. All pretty much looked like this:

Instead of trying to refinish them I decided to get some 5K miles 3rd gen take offs from a member on here. There's no TPS in them so I have a permanent TPMS light, but I've learned to ignore it. I still the originals up in the attic above the garage with like new tires. However the Yokohama Geolandar's are absolutely terrible in anything other than dry weather.

That and the 200lbs of sand I had in the back. Don't know if it made a difference or not, but it held its own in 2wd.

I don’t have any T PMS sensors in my wheels and my light is not on.

...that's pretty damn genius. Not bad for a grumpy old man :D

I'm just curious how bad they're gonna ding me at the dealer for it. The local one just got an access cab SR5 in cement I want to look at tomorrow...

Tire pressure light on, trade in value. Rest of the truck is clean and came from that dealer, so maybe they'll look past it, who knows...

    Oh ok.

If they notice it they will take a few hundred dollars off it. If they notice that there are no sensors they’re going to hit you a lot harder.

Kinda what I'm figuring. If they mention it I'll just ask them to take and extended test drive to my house so they can have the factory wheels (wishful thinking, but hey). That said, they make new Tacoma's every day in the exact combo. The older I've gotten the easier I've found it to walk outta a dealer.
