I have. Forgot what I got but it was as advertised and I don’t remember any problems.

Look around for discount codes. I think you might get one if you sign up for emails. If so, just unsubscribe afterwards :D.

Anything for regular maintenance yeah I go to RockAuto, oil I get from the 'mart or advanced zone, don't like to ship oils. They're my go to.

+1 for RockAuto if it's regular stuff. Aftermarket/mods, that's a whole different ball game.

If we’re talking motor oil, I wait on the Mobile One rebates that come out in the Spring and stock up as much as is covered.

A couple of years ago they covered 4, 5 quart jugs, last year it was only 2.

Net after rebate is somewhere around $12-14 each.

Add the bulk Toyota filter specials that come around from time to time or even at the once a year sale, oil changes for under $20 or so

Most tire web sites have price matching/ beating policies you might want to check out. I know @Discount Tire matches price. That's where I ordered my wife's tires from plus they are a vendor here on TW.

That's how my well-meaning but mechanically illiterate friend got my 93 stuck on Race Point Beach at 10:30 PM. He wanted to lock the passenger hub for me but didn't know you had to twist it 90°.

I bought my last few cases of oil off walmart.com. They had cases of Pennzoil Platinum on sale, I forget how much but I bought 3 cases that have 3 of those 5 quart jugs each. It was the first time I had oil shipped, and it all came intact.

Now that I've had a chance to use it, I can confirm that this setting is awesome. When every side road or parking lot is covered in snow and every main road is bare pavement, it's so nice to just go without either binding or spinning.

You know, I would have liked to have that this morning. I was trying to maneuver into my parking spot, which is in a tight spot behind one of the High School buildings I'm working on and, subsequently, in a snow bank. Bare pavement to snow slush back and forth and tight corners also. Fortunately, I didn't bind anything up but I could feel it starting to at times. I couldn't get through parts of it in 2wd because I couldn't carry any momentum. 4A would have been pretty neat but I don't think that option is even an option for the SD yet.

I think you're right and it's F-150 only. If you get an F-150 with the snow plow prep package, it removes the AWD transfer case too. It must be a weaker transfer case.

I'm pretty sure GM has it on their HD trucks, but it isn't the same system as the Borg Warner one Ford uses.

The GMC has auto 4wd and it's been in that mode since I got the truck. It's awesome.

Full time AWD is pretty neat, basically now you've got a giant lesbaru with a bed. In reality it's pretty cool, i rarely have to use 4wd in the Landcruiser. full time awd does just fine. I usually only use it in really deep snow or offroading. Off-road it's pretty nice for the same reasons, no binding on tight turns and such. My LC has a mod similar to the 2-lo mod on tacos, but with the full time AWD. So i can be in full time AWD in low range. Pretty nifty.
