Looks like the fuel pump recall has been expanded. The model list is much longer and I just got the recall notice for my 2017 yesterday.

    Still no remedy.

This may be an option. Just doesn’t over much in a weather tight seal.

Ralf, would you consider making a steel bed? for cost and for those who want steel.

The downside to steel, it’s heavy and it rusts. We don’t have to finish off our decks with primer and paint. Bare aluminum can be exposed, and simply doesn’t corrode like bare steel. The cost saving isn’t that large either at the end of the day.

The payload on these trucks is already minuscule as it is. Adding more weight with a steel deck just doesn’t seem feasible.

Let’s just build out of 2x4, I had a plan on making frame out of steel and lay planks of wood. Then use trailer lights, easy to replace when busted, and they get busted a lot. I am on my 5th tail light in 3 years :annoyed: god damn rocks, trees and malls!

i know, i nabbed them already. i just hate the flat sheet metal with t-slot 80/20 crossbar design that Prinsu and some others are known for

maybe i could modify an OEM roof rack to slide on top of one - like a plastic covering or something....

Day 1 of 17 days off in a row.

    Trail clearing, because why not.

After this tree was cleared and I started down the trail again, I noticed that both my driver side tires were flat, 0 PSI. I only ran them for maybe 100 ~ 200m at 0 PSI but that got ice or something lodged in the bead. Front one was not real bad and cleared up eventaully after airing it up to 25 PSI. Rear one would not stop leaking, and it was not a small leak. Air was escaping from what seems like 1/2 the bead.

Had to change it out for the spare. I mean yes I could have given up at any point and stopped, turned around and gone home. But that is not me :cookiemonster: I changed to the spare then continued wheeling for another 2.5 hours

While I was changing my tire, a couple of guys came by on snow machines. They just happened to be the guys who run the groomer on the local trails! We had a nice chat, they really liked the recovery boards. They suggested I volunteer to drive the groomer. So I may just do that.

    *Edit*
The leaking tire is now in my dinning room thawing out, I think it simply got ice built up in the bead. It was -18C out there. The water I poured on the tire to check where it was leaking froze right away. Pretty cold but fun AF.

Got the wire through the rubber flange just a little left of your wire in your picture, and it worked out fine. And made up a temporary set up to test before I get the switches but used a back up camera mounted to the front with a push button to activate.

Did you not have something for your jack to sit on? Looks little sketchy
Very nice anyhow, make sure you make it wide enough for me to come through.... 6 Meter width should be enough :cookiemonster::typing:

It was sitting on snow  So yea its on a bit of an angle.

It was just for like less than 2 minutes. Jacked up removed tire, new tire on. I messed with shoveling the snow out a bit but could not get the jack to sit flat as it started to get pressure from the truck on it. I should have a board for it to sit on, you are correct.

I see you didn't get the joke, either, about Googling pictures of a coat hanger through a nipple...

Is the backup camera just for testing? Or are you intending to use it as a trail cam?
