interested to hear your thoughts after you regear. Maybe a hill test again to compare to your stock gears? I sure hope that it ends up being worth it to you cause it sure ain't cheap lol

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.

    Mostly decorative anyway.

Cut up the original bedside supports and made them to work with a high clearance cut. Watching them flap around in the mirror was annoying

A little late, but decided to paint my wheels since the clear coat was already peeling and I wasn’t a fan of them to begin with, they came with the truck when I bought them. They’re not perfect, but for $30 and my first time actually painting anything like this, I think they came out decent. Saving up for some new wheels and tires so these are just temporary.

I’m beyond happy with how it turned out:drool::drool:

Nice! I'm rocking the DC-1s as well. There was a recall for the peeling clear many years ago. I too have been toying around with how to make them look a bit better while I save up funds for new wheels altogether. Temporarily plasti-dipped the center caps. Not sold on it but it's different. Will likely go a solid color for the whole wheel next time.

I got estimates ranging from $900 to $1,700 for just the ring and pinion swap plus new bearings/seals, no locker or anything like that. I was surprised that the few local shops that specialize on Toyotas were the most expensive.
