Yah it happens the luster is wearing off which I know will come back. Wish we were local to swing by and see the setup or not have to plan out trips. The statement if they can only tell is a week prior does not sit well. It’s hard enough to travel and take time off right now.

This reminds me of the early days of GFC and other small companies ramping up with the HUGE demand and figuring out their processes.
Try and be patient, it will happen and you'll forget all about the wait once you're at camp/adventuring.

Totally all this delay talk with an action packed work day makes for a fun venting session.

Waiting will get the best of you at times.

I’ve waited for wheels for 2 years just for them to change the design 3 times during that time. When the final prototype wheel came out I didn’t like the design. The wheels are Volk Racing TE37-XT if anybody is wondering. I disliked the way they looked and the offset they were offering compared to the initial design.

Yah it’s a gamble. Silver lining I get time hopefully to fix all the broken stuff on the truck and maybe some new changes will come. Either way excited. Spring and summer camping will be prime!

Mine got pushed back from March to May. Bummed, but good thing I didn’t sell my RTT yet! I was going to sell RTT to cover some of the cost of the payments, but now I don’t think imma sell rtt till I get my installation date . Can’t miss out on any trips because of no tent. I suppose I can ruff it out like the old days in a Coleman ground tent but I rather not... LOL

yah same reason I haven’t sold my current shell. Right now actual install date they noted would be a week prior but at least you will know it’s 6-8 weeks out.

Bright side, I think you'll do better selling RTT in late spring than winter.

Good point. The summer they were selling like crazy. Winter is for the bargain hunters. It was a great time to pick up gear at the REI used gear sale for summer returns

I tried that once at an alkali hot spring... The ground all around for miles was a fine alkaline dust and it was super windy. I knew that setting up my ground tent would result the same as when I camped outside of Moab on a windy night - wake up with all the sand/silt over the inside of my tent with how low the mesh walls are... I slept for about 20 minutes at a time in the driver seat. I tried the passenger, but there is less foot room for my large feet. I tried laying across the back seat of the 1st gen double cab. Let's just say that I didn't find any position comfortable in the cab for sleeping.

That is a great question. I can see how that would be nice to have as an option

So the 50/50 split by the rear door doesn't have any cushion like the gfcs?

I don't believe so. This setup uses the exped megamat so it covers as much as the megamat does which I believe stops at that section you are talking about. You could set it at either end but gives you a spot to drop some stuff etc. This setup is longer than a GFC as well.

have not used it but everyone I know with it says they like it. When I talked to spencer they chose this instead of a foam one because they saw a lot of people replacing the foam ones with it. The only downside is the blowing up and down that I can see.
