Yes but not needed unless you wheel pretty hard. it is awesome if you do. Most people also put independent rear brakes on the truck too so you can lock up just one rear wheel, makes really tight turns super easy.

Your samurai is going to be sweet when you stretch it. Not that it isn’t sweet now, but short wheelbase is sketchy

It is really fun to drive but yeah, it worries me sometimes on steep hills. I have missing links on the front and once when I was on a big steep hill I had to stop about half way up and forgot I had the pins out of the missing links so the were not locked. When I let out on the clutch they unloaded and it stood straight up. I thought I was about to roll back down the hill but it set back down and I put the pins back in.
It has an automatic transmission now so that helps a lot but when I stretch it I am going to put a suck down winch on the front too to hold the entire front suspension down.

Congrats! It’s a good feeling! I sold my first home I bought when I was 23 for twice what I paid for it. Took a lot of work, but it paid off. Make that compound interest work to your advantage and pay extra if you can and it’ll be even more money in your pocket-

I've been eyeing this place. it's right up the road from the house, but I can't make it this weekend. I've got family christmas tomorrow. Let me know how the place is looking.

Oh and have a great time.

You haven't been on anything that requires you to pull yourself. The recovery getting me back up the hill on fri night before yall got there I did this exact thing. A couple.of big ledges I've don't I just used the front to pull me up. Sometimes getting a push from just the rear can cause the front to unload a bit and you need more of a pull. Many advantages this is just 2. It doesn't hurt anything and you get more options on how you lock the truck up for getting up obstacles.

Anyone around Irondale on Monday? I could use some help picking up an item from a guy driving through Monday morning from GA.
