Saw a car I really want at a dealer today. Resisting the urge to go in and drive the fucker. I know if I do, I'll buy it.

Heard it on the morning radio show the other day, someone called about it and they all said it was BS until they looked into it.

Don't have a VIN, must be a recent trade or dealer trade cause the website doesn't show it as existing. Actually it hasn't existed for the 4 weeks I've driven past it. I just finally stopped and peeked in windows before one of the slicked hair "professionals" came out to harass me.

Yeah, they have it marked wrong with the stickers too. It's a 2012 335i xDrive. But they have it marked as a 2011, which normally that's not important but this was a chassis/body/engine change year.

You know, I texted the guy that bought my Tacoma from me over a month and a half ago if he wanted to pick up those Fox 2.0 rears.

He had only replied asking if I'd ship and I said no (dumb to ask).

I need to clear closet space.

If you want a salesperson to leave you alone, either tell them you have a car in for service, or that you have a 400 credit score, no cash, and just want to look at shit.

    They'll definitely leave you alone.

Outside of Mexico itself, I think San Diego has some of the best Mexican food you can find here in the US. Tucson was supposed to be like that from what I had read, but I've been rather dissapointed by most places so far.

A good salesman would ask what vehicle was in for service and ask about trading it for whatever pos I was staring at haha. This is a BHPH lot, no service dept haha. Funny thing is, this lot caters to folks with poop credit. I have two 760s and an 800, I dunno if any of their financing would even be tailored to offer me a decent rate.

Even buy here pay here lots have lenders (credit unions) they can submit to because sometimes, you can find a good car at those places.

I found an '84 or '85 pick up that was stock as hell, low mileage, with only 2 owners at one of those lots. Be surprised what they'll have/find.

I worked with a Chinese guy from CA who moved here on an academic scholarship. After he graduated, he married a local gal and went to work selling cars.
He was one of the best car salesmen in town. I remember he was selling something like 50 to 60 Chevys a month.

Anyway, he would walk upon somebody looking at a car on the lot and say:

    1) You like the car?
    2) Nice car.
    3) How much money you got?
    4) What you got to trade?

And the people would tell him. Then they would go write up the deal.

People already know what they want when they walk up to a lot; you just have to make yourself the person they choose to buy from.

Cause some people over think, talk too much, and the biggest reason of all, fear of loss.

It's one thing I will say I'm good at; sales.

Being a finance director means you're doing the same shit as a salesman. But you're convincing people to buy something without building the rapport that a salesman does. You get minutes whereas they have received hours, even days or weeks if its a long drawn out purchase.

I have to hit on all those points damn near on point for someone to step up and say "ok, I'll pay the extra xxx for xxx"

Reminds me of a guy I knew who would always go home from the bar with a girl.

It would get close to closing time and he just look at them and say "You wanna go fu(k or what?" Response fu(k.
