Lynn and I enjoy a Face Time Friday Happy Hour with my sister and brother in law in Michigan. Tonight I'm having some Maker's 46 and Lynn has a Boulevardier made with Bardstown Bourbon Company Fusion.

I have a bottle of batch 12 and just got a bottle of GTS ‘20. Waiting to get a few other things to side by side them and see what I like the most before trading out some more highly valued BA stouts I have and suffering a bourbon tax.

I'll be the odd man out & say I almost gagged on the 1 & only bottle of 1792 I got. I poured out the last 25% of it. Not even mixing with Coke could cover up the bile in that bottle.

I'm sipping on that B520 batch right now. I need to pick up some more tomorrow and also something for the neighbor Christmas party tomorrow night.

Off this thread for some time now...

Need me a new mixer. Love me a good Manhattan. My go to is a Bulleit Rye Manhattan. What say the peanut gallery? :crapstorm:

Try a Boulevardier. I enjoy one from time to time and my wife - who also enjoys bourbon straight up - has decided that's her favorite mixer.

You could also try a classic Bourbon Sidecar - popular in the '50s and making a comeback.

Oh man am I going to catch some flak for this, but Canadian Club mixed with Mug rootbeer. By itself I can't hardly touch the club, but mixed with rootbeer or coke, it's pretty good.

On the other hand, for special occasions and sipping, Jameson Gold Reserve is my go to.
