Since the new stay at home order it’s pretty dead at the aquarium and cannery row. Was planning on going to Hollister Hills Sunday weather permitting!
Edit: Also depends on if they’re open with the new statewide stay at home order...o_O

Oh man that’s right! Damn covid. I’m sure it’s slowed way down on cannery row. I get talking about my old stomping grounds and forget about what’s going on there at the present moment. I remember when I was younger going to the landfill in marina with my dad and uncle in an 85 Toyota pickup! Anyways, I’ve been to hollister hills many times. I’m sure you’ve heard of the artichoke festival in castroville?

I saw you had posted that and I’ve been thinking about heading up there, the steepness of the terrain up there is not shown in well in pics. I think I’ll end up heading south towards Mt fig first though

Been to the artichoke festival many times! Gotta call the gate at Hollister Hills tomorrow to find out if they’re open. If not I’ll go down to Lockwood near Hunter Liggett. Supposed to be sunny and 72 degrees on Sunday in Lockwood. Sounds like perfect weather for wheelin’!

I’m not sure if you get there right now. Notice the barricades to the rear of my truck on Nacimiento Ferguson Road.

A couple of years ago I bought a flat mount for a front license plate from someone on this thread who was making them. A friend wants one but I can’t remember the guy who was making them. Can anyone help?

Sounds like great weather!! Enjoy, whether it’s hh of fhl! That’s awesome, it’s nice to chat with someone who knows that area! Funny story, my mother was the artichoke queen in 1980 hahaha!!! 72 degrees? The high here in Idaho hasn’t hit above 39 for the last month and a half lol well enjoy the warm bud, and have fun!

I have a hunting pass for Fort Hunter Liggett that allows me to hunt and drive the trails in areas that are open and for which I have signed in the day before. Other than that, i don’t think that the general public is allowed off the main paved roads.

The pics never do it justice.....it’s a lot steeper than it looks! The KO2’s were packed with the wet silt about half way up. I stopped and backed down in 4lo rather than roll down the hard way.
