Got the okay today to pick up a S&W 3” 625-6 that’s been hanging out for a week at my ffl.
I’ve always had a thing for wheel guns, particularly .45’s, and particularly 3” and shorter. I carry one daily unless I absolutely have to go into the/a city, and then, especially these days, I’ll opt for more capacity.

 

I didn’t think we’d see gas prices come back down either, glad they did. Supply and demand, it’ll even out one day.

 

Of course it can. Where I live out in the badlands of KS it's mostly petty crimes and druggies. There hasn't been a murder near here in 10 years and I was unlucky enough to get jury duty.

Egg zactly! Last ammo crisis a guy I sorta know was buying any ammo he could find, paying a hefty price and then trying to resell at even higher prices. Market got saturated, prices dropped and he was left with nearly all that ammo. Maybe he still has it.

 

You seem to not fully grasp American (southern) gun culture so let me help you out with an extremely condensed version.

1. Some of us haven’t stopped training, some people still go through 200+ rounds per week.
2. A lot of us don’t trust the future with the Poe-liticle climate (the last 50 years), and plan to have enough ammo on hand to train and deal with attempted thefts of firearms or rights.

I get the same enjoyment from $.17/round versus $.50/round. Happiness/preparedness is priceless.

Yes, there are guys paying more than they should for ammo. I don’t pay those prices. What I paid for the ammo I intend on shooting, is the same as I paid a few years ago. The price tags are still on the boxes. Have I found ammo cheaper from time to time? Sure, and I buy it then as well, but those weren’t normal prices either.

Times are potentially different now and I want to make sure I have enough to train with and train my kids with. The SP5 can burn through 9mm like it’s nothing and I want to enjoy my new purchase.

 

Thankfully, I don’t know anyone like that.
