Bummer. I was hoping he got there naturally. I guess I’m still a bit naive in that area.

Don't be bummed...he might have gotten pretty far naturally. Don't let everyone being on the sauce discourage you; everyone has unique genetics etc and you can look great and be strong naturally...that said, if you see an actually large, very lean man most likely he is using. All you have to do is google "lifetime Natural bodybuilding" and see how small those guys are compared to a non-tested show to realize that the body hates holding a lot of muscle while being lean. Evolution wise, being big and jacked is way less useful than being lithe and having lots of endurance...

The fun is in the striving, not the arriving man.

Lol I question the evolutionary utility of leanness; if it were useful our bodies wouldn’t store fat so efficiently. Plus y’all skinny gurls are the first to perish when the game gets scarce ;)

at least that is what us fatties tell ourselves.

On another note I tweaked my right pec ant the armpit insertion doing flat bench Wednesday and I am super annoyed. Tried some straight bar dips this morning and I have been feeling that shit all day. :annoyed:

Next week shaping up to be LEGS WEEK :bananadead:

I’m a fat adapted ultra runner than can survive off keto and I do fasted trail runs of 16-18 miles.

Bring on the famine. Lets see who wins. :)

I’m just saying I could. Like if the Irish Potato Famine would reoccur I could adapt quickly.

Keto was the best I ever felt in my life. I really like the mental benefits. When in ketosis your brain functions on a different gear. It helps my ADHD and anxiety and I slept like a fucking rock.

You just don’t have the physical performance without the carbs. Sucks. :(

I only really truly feel deprived of my beer on keto. The rest I can do without.

@ThunderCookies @rngr Why do people put resistance bands on the pad for bench press? Always wondered and google just brings up stuff about having the bands on the actual bar. But noticed few people will put 2 thin bands on the actual bench pad and have no idea why

I’m in for answers. I know that adding bands increases the load into the rep but want to know the more specific reasoning behind this type of training.

Also tag the band king @mindstar

These bands don’t get used in the actual lift. People literally just put them around the bench pad.

    Woah, wut?

I see people who have the bands looped around the bench but each end is on the bar. You see just looped on the bench???

Does it strap the special needs person to the bench?
