    Hey Brother. Looks like you’re having a great time and it sounds like you know that area fairly well.

    So with that in mind I have a question. Do you know a good RV spot near Pensacola? Our daughter is going to college in Pensacola and my father in law and his wife live in Dothan. We want to meet up with the in laws when we take our daughter back to school 2nd semester. Any suggestions would be awesome.

    I know this area over here pretty well. We’ve stayed over here for about 2 years. Unfortunately I don’t know any of the campgrounds around Pensacola. Never stayed over there yet. I had mainly stayed in this area here because of towing with the camper. It was about the closest route to water and saltwater fishing. I’m sure we will be adventuring further with the new truck. If we head over that way I’ll let you know any experiences for sure.

    I know the conservation thing out on the island here was looking into trying to get this place. They wanted to close the campground and make trails and a learning center about the island in its place. That’s all govt funding though so you know how that goes. Other option was sell to builders and them building homes here. Either one would suck in my opinion. It’s like old Florida here no frills and a nice place to park your camper and get away from it all. I’d love to buy it myself and fix it up some with a few amenities. The profits would be pretty great from here. I figured it out one time when I first heard about it coming up for sale. I could live that life nicely. Lol

    I think it’s kinda sad that they didn’t put cable back in after the hurricane. They probably could have saved themselves from the snowbirds that abandoned them between no amenities and raising the rates $300/ month on them. A bunch left for campgrounds with everything for the same price.

    If I was staying here for 4-5 months I’d definitely want cable at least. The Canadians that are normally here can’t get past their border either. Kinda odd seeing empty spots in here.
