    You missed out on the shower and stars because I missed out on the shower and stars...

    I tossed the pup in the truck and drove over to the Goldfield, NV, area mid-day and the weather was overcast and blustery. Shortly before dark the skies cleared and I thought at was a GO for the Geminids. :thumbsup: I grabbed a nice soak in the local hot spring and settled in to get some sleep before the show. :yay: I set my alarm for 2:00 am (the peak was between 2 and 3) and dozed off. I got up at 11:30 to piss and noticed a few clouds moving in. :confused::confused: Got up at 2:00 and found a dusting of snow and massive cloud cover. :mad: :mad:

    I hauled ass out of there and headed for home. I stopped a few miles down the road and spied a couple dozen meteors. So, I didn't get totally skunked, but pretty close. :notsure: The drive home took six hours as I avoided the icy mountain passes. :burnrubber:
