Well, I killed way more beers than ducks...according to Game & Fish this is the worst duck population in Arkansas since 1998

It's important to keep the beer population in check too.

I realized the other day that I enjoy duck hunting with my friends more than anything. I can hunt alone or hunt with strangers, but I care for that a lot less. I'd rather splash around in the water with people I like than smash ducks with people I end up hating. Some of the guys you meet duck hunting are real pieces of work.

I'm gonna do some trotlining and fish frying this summer so I can justify the boat. :rofl:Who knows, maybe I'll take up bowfishing. Nobody cares if you smash the Asian carp.

I really want to get into bowfishing but I don't have a boat for it. I was thinking I could do it from my kayak but I don't think my boat is stable enough for that...I could build some stabilizers like a catamaran though...hmmmm

No idea, I thought the bearing+tools are only for '05+? I heard there was a design change in the tool as well.

I believe there was a tweak between 2nd and 3rd gen bearing pullers, either way always best to get the correct tool for the job.

    A thing or two...
There is no separate BST thread for AR. It's just this thread. Like @TerraNerva said, this thread is primarily BSing, but people post stuff for sale occasionally.

So @12taco12 is lending me his ECGS toolkit, which means once I install the lift, I need to find a competent alignment shop in NWA that knows how to adjust JBA UCAs. Any recommendations?

@'16goingon'17, I asked about alignments a while back, and this was some of everybody's advice at the time. I live in NEA; so, I won't be of any local help, but I got a crap alignment from a quick lane/quick lube type place right after I started changing suspensions. I ended up getting great alignments from Jonesboro Alignment. I knew that was going to be my best bet when I called and told him what kind of UCAs I installed, and he proceeded to tell me how that style UCA was his favorite aftermarket UCA type since he aligned race mustangs with that style back in the '90s. YMMV, but I'd call around looking for a guy like that if no one here has a personal recommendation.

Good to know. I ended up taking mine to Firestone in Conway for a first alignment. I bought the lifetime package. They didn't complain about SPC uppers. When I asked how it turned out and if it needed any camber adjustment, they said everything was in "factory spec". Ok.. It did drive nice after the alignment. No pulling.

They knew I would be lifting the suspension 2" and requested I bring it back for an alignment once I was finished making modifications. I think I may be done changing the ride height for a while. So I will take it back for another alignment. I do get along with the store manager.

One thing that I did learn during my suspension rebuilt project is that lower control arm bushings (99 100 series) have teeth that bite into the LCA when torqued up. I'm not sure if this is the case for Tacomas. To me, it looks like a Toyota thing. Note that I have seen aftermarket bushings without the teeth.

For example, with this type of bushing, if the normal ride height changes for a 2" lift, I've read where it is a good thing to release and retorque the LCA bushing bolts at the new normal ride height. The thought here is that if the LCA angle changes, the bushing will be in a bind and wear out faster.

This is a 21-year-old bushing that I replaced last summer.

Trailer didn't quite make it time for Santa due to material availability and shipping delays, but it's coming along. And sorry @PinnaclePete , it's coming with it's own permanent Tom Bodett, but maybe I'll leave the light on for ya...
