    It's getting there.
Does anyone else feel like their door rattles around? I feel like I can hear the door seals rubbing and the door moving if I go over even minor bumps on pavement. 2016 AC by the way.

It's a common problem on most AC in all makes. Drivers door always being closed into the rear access door (weakens/breaks down factory weather strip). Two ways to resolve problem. One adjust rear access door strike, to pull door in a bit. Another way is install caulk backer rod, which is a round foam insulation into door seal/weather strip on cab, not on door. There is usually a factory split in seal where you can install it. They have it in many sizes 1/4" to 5/8" at hardware store/Home improvement stores. Usually 1/4" is plenty big enough to stop rattle. Only install at rear access door. Hope this helps.

Mine does it. It drives me crazy. I've tried everything to get rid of it. I've adjusted the door striker, replaced weatherstriping, greased weatherstriping, nothing lasts. Im just glad someone else has noticed it too.

My 08 was totally silent, but on my 2015 the access doors banged on every bump, I found if I wrapped the top and bottom latch with masking tape it helped.

It lasted a fairly long time, I would cut it off with a razor blade and replace it every 4 or 5 months,

I am having bad window control panel rattle on both the driver and passenger door. I bought the truck a week ago and I am not sure if it is worth bringing back to the dealer and saying this thing rattles and getting what ever bizarre fix they might impose or shimming it my self. I just assume let them do it but i am a bit afraid they will do something stupid like try and glue the control panel escutcheon to the interior door panel sill.

However i do not have door latching rattle at all I get a nice tight closure. Im only at 1330 miles but did a lot of washboarded dirt roads this week and a good amount of just poorly maintained highway.

Have you checked to make sure your door seals are in good shape, i.e. flexible, not deformed "springy" to the touch. generally they will hold outward pressure on the door holding the door agains the door catch/latch. IF you are truly hearing the door seals rubbing / door moving it may be a problem with the hinge or physical mounting of the door. I have seen this in a lot of older trucks especially when people use the doors as a means to help "push/pull" them selves in to the tucks. the door ends up starting to sag a bit based on the deformation of the least structurally sound component (usually the door hinge ) again causing a noise as you are driving.

My old Sierra 3 door extended cab (similar rear suicide door) would rattle pretty bad unless I /slammed/ the back door -- 230k on it though

My 19 double cab actually sounds like its got some upper door, or maybe headliner rattle as well, particularly over side-to-side heaving bumps

My 16 has a rattle in the drivers side rear access cab door.. has had it since day 1. It sounds like a loose screw or something in there, very annoying, it is like ear level to my left ear while driving.

I was just thinking about posting this. My 17' has started to rattle..well I wouldn't call it a rattle but it sounds like the door seals moving or rubbing as I go over bumps. Getting very annoying..but no idea what to look at or attempt to fix.

Any thoughts appreciated. I isolated an annoying tapping/rattling to my driver’s side access cab rear door. I pulled the rear door panel and the rattle went away, telling me the rattle is in the panel and not the door hardware. Has anybody dealt with this or have experience or suggestions about likely parts of the panel to check? Clips are good as far as I can tell. Thanks.

I found the annoying tick is the weatherstripping. This drove me absolutely crazy. The only solution I found was applying shinetsu grease to the weatherstripping/door mating surface. Noise is gone.

Thanks but I pulled the door panel and the rattle disappeared so I believe it is somewhere in the panel.
