I had an ‘82 GT coupe. Great running college car. It fit myself, 3 buffaloes (big boys), and 3 coeds on the way back from the bar. Also brought me back home from Montreal one spring break in a snow storm.

both of my boys Jeeps are converted to 18v. The older one has upgraded motors and gearboxes from mltoys.com

biding my time on the other one with stock gears and motors on 18v.

Did a Jeep hurricane for my buddy with stage 4 motors and wired 2 Milwaukee 18v in a series vs parallel and it’s pretty quick. Has to keep the speed controller between 1/2 and 2/3.

You’re a bad man... i’m now eying a 18 or 24v kit with a stage 4 gear and motor kit! 18v kit might be enough for my boys for now.

I definitely suggest the adapters for 18v drill batteries that can be found on Amazon or Etsy. I went with 2 Milwaukee 6.0ah, great run time and quick charging. In the future I can quickly rewire them in a series and crank up the speed.

I spent some time on the mltoys website, thinking about the 18 volt kit, running that until the stock motors fry then upgrading to the stage 2 drive kit. I was reading about the issues with using lithium batteries. But, gotta start somewhere!

I had a metric Fukton of ryobi batteries so I got a 4 pack of adapters to bare wire and a ryobi to power wheels adapter. If you wanna try one out, I can ship it or TW express it to ya.
