Leaving for my parents' place today as soon as I get loaded up.

Place I work does an EOY shutdown. I'm off 2 weeks and only had to take 2 vacation days (today/tomorrow). :D

No shutdowns for us. We actually get busier during the holidays when all the pesky kids are out of our way and we can get shit done.

Where I live now the word donut applies to everything. I have a hard time with that. Where I grew up there are bakeries that still use the old German recipes. My favorite was always the Mud Pie.

Nobody calls it a mud pie around here. What they do have doesn't come close in taste. So, if your ever in Sheboygan WI.
    Stop at any local bakery.

:rofl:I work in the test dept of an aerospace/defense company. We're slammed year round, and it just gets worse at the eoy as all the programs scramble to get product out the door. Our dept is so understaffed, the poor techs work 13 days straight. It'd be everyday, but the company mandates one day off every 2 weeks.

And hopefully it's intact. Like not looking like it fell off the truck and run over several time. How dare I mention such things:smack:experience perhaps?
