Yup, been down the James a few times. It's a fun river, and cool being right in Richmond.

Cool, I think Seven Springs is about that or a touch more. I’ve got a pass at seven springs.

Howdy fellas, recently transplanted to Morgantown, WV from neighboring MD. Can anyone recommend any auto shops in the Morgantown/surrounding area (possible re-gear in the near future)? Last weekend had Glotfelty's up on Grafton mount some new tires on some new wheels. Solid place, good pricing. Nice meeting you all!

There is a shop in the area called Engineered Off-road. I don’t have any personal experience with them but they do gears. Maybe someone can chime in if they have had experience with them.

If you have access to tools and a flat workspace, buying a complete 3rd and front diff from East Coast Gear Supply is the best option. It's a relatively simple remove and replace process. Plus you get gears set up by experienced technicians and you get a pretty solid warranty.

Have access to both of these things. Will look into it, might be something worth tackling in the home garage. Thanks for the recommendation!

I followed this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/re-gear-writeup.179500/ plus several linked there. And the ECGS website has some good info https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/p-23663-techarticles.html the video there for the 3rd gen 4Runner made me realize it was something I could do in my garage. I was swapping gears between two trucks so removed and replaced front and rear on both and it took me about 8 hours total. You can easily get it apart by yourself, and depending on how strong you are and how high you can raise your truck you might be able to get it back in yourself but I got help for the reinstallation and it made it much simpler.

Worth pricing out a few shops nearby and from ECGS and see what makes the most sense for you. Also ask the Pittsburgh guys if they have recommendations, it's not a far drive and a good shop should be able to do it while you wait.

I posted this in the bst for 3rd gens but it didn’t get much attention.

I have a 3rd gen MBRP cat back exhaust I’m trying to sell for 160$. It’s never been installed, so it’s like new. It will fit a short or long bed. If anyone is interested just let me know. 160$ OBO. I prefer local meetup.

I don’t think it will. It’s designed for the 3.5 liter.
