Back when all the tune files were up, anyone remember a tune for 04b33? Mines 04b31 but I keep reading such good comments about the upgrade to 04b33 for the 2019 trucks. Reason I ask all of this is because I’d hate to upgrade to 04b33 and not be able to use the tune until the final is released.

Also, since I haven’t yet unlocked or requested any vftune files for my ecu, debating if it’s worth the upgrade at the moment. Hope some of this makes sense. Thanks.

 

there are no current tunes for 04b33. it is a new TSB. Ski

 

If you haven't used your credits to purchase an ECU through vFtuner, then I'd update the ECU to 04B33. It's loads better than the stock 04B31 tune and supposedly the tune pack will be available soon. You can tweak the stock tune (I'm running 33s and 4.88 gears and increased the RPM limiter) but I'd like to get my hands on a premium map as I run 93 octane.

 

Same as myself. I run 93 but no gears and 33s. Will likely update ecu to 04b33 but still thinking on it. Thanks.

Has anyone else had any success getting FM to download p5f tune files Or have the files been taken down with the vFtuner updates?

I have a 2019 OR AT 04B31 flashed with a beta + shift lock tune. I have potential buyers scheduled tomorrow for test drives and would desperately like to flash back to any base tune or even just the stock tune.

I've reached out to ovtune customer service repeatedly all month but haven't heard back. Sounds like they're busy..

How much of a headache do you think the dealership would give if I brought it in and asked them to reflash still in warranty truck?

P5f files are no longer available.
Stock files are bundled with vf tuner that you can use to flash back to stock.

Dealership can flash a TSB but doesnt have a way (as far as i know) to flash an existing stock calibration.

 

Very easy.
Download Vftuner (free to download), look in the folder and find stock tune file (it is a .vft file), flash it to your truck using the Vftuner flash manager (also in the free download folder.)
Done!

I'm looking forward to what you folks find with the tunes. The 04B14 tunes on top were noticeably better than 04B13.

i guess i need to download vftune. i was on the site, i cant find where the free download is. ill probably spend the 80 and open it up (if us previous tune people can still do that)

 

Thanks. I’ll try to figure this stuff out tonight or over the next couple weeks while off work. Haven’t requested a tune pack yet so I’ll flash the tsb and request the new tune pack.
