There was a time when my buddy’s truck was down for about 6 weeks and in that time he took the deck off his mower and took it to the mountain instead. It definitely garnered attention.

 

Fishing is still good. Gotta love this state. And beer

That one and highlands ranch are my favorite ones to go to, your right though bowman is always peaceful and a great spot to use sticks and string especially at the 80yd target

What do you mean, on the ground? In TN, we try not to litter our campsites. There was however a trash bag full of them behind me when I took the picture.

Took my daughter and her boyfriend to Jones Pass yesterday. We rented snowmobiles from Mile High Adventure Rentals in Denver and towed them up. The tree lined trail leads to a big open bowl where you can go wide open throttle uphill until you lose momentum, perform a hairpin turn, then fly back down. Snow cover was good but there are some boulders to avoid. Her boyfriend grew up in North Dakota where snow mobiles are a way of life. It was good to have his experience out there since it was my daughter’s first time and my third.

Looks like a blast. I was splitboarding Jones Pass on Saturday. Though the fluffy stuff was about knee deep, the base snowpack was non-existent. There's not much holding the snow to the mountain right now. The ride down was super boney and we actually triggered a tiny avalanche on a slope that was barely over 30 degrees.

That's all to day, have fun, but be careful on early season backcountry.

 

Looks cold. Like that damp, 30 degrees feels like 5 degrees east coast cold.

 

Yeah, three dead already this year o_0 snowpack is super sketch right now.

By about 10 o'clock, we were all sitting 15' away with no jacket on.
