    I lived 1/2 mile from @Gunshot-6A and just moved ... 1.5 miles south. It’s a great area.

Sounds great to me. Would love to meet some local people so that i know someone in the area and/or have people that can tell me the places to check out and go wheel with.

Side bar to that: are there any other good places to find people that are off-roading in the area? Any Facebook groups or anything that I should check out?

Utah Toyota Off Road (UTOR) and WTT4R (Wasatch tundra, tacoma, 4 runner) group. both on facebook. different flavors of people in both groups but you'll find loads of support and info on both.

Not sure I'd personally recommend that group, but theres some good nuggets intermixed. UTOR is my go-to.

Expedition Utah is a good group to follow as well.

We all have our preferred mix of function (UTOR) and form (WWT4R)

Just took my truck into Mark Miller for a transmission flush.

Got a phone call that my frame is rusting through and qualifies for a replacement under
WARRENTY! Warranty was set to expire in January, sure am glad I went in today. It’s a Christmas miracle.

I had never worried about the surface rust on other cars in the past, lived in state most my life and had just tried to wash off road salt as regularly as possible. I was under the impression that Utah Tacoma’s didn’t qualify for the frame campaign. What a surprise, couldn’t be happier.

Check out some of the threads here about frame replacements. Have a plan for anything you want to have done while the truck is torn apart. I replaced shocks (leaf springs are included in the swap) when my '05 frame was replaced, and a couple other things.

Also, be prepared to fight/negotiate with the dealer a little bit. I had to push to have a few things covered under the service campaign.

I’ll start reading and posting more in the frame replacement threads. New shocks are on the list. I’m assuming they’ll replace or transfer AAL as well?

What were some of the things you had to fight to include?
