ARBs have that classic Australian bull bar look which is nice. They definitely aren't sleek but they probably do fare much better safety-wise in a front end collision. I highly doubt they crash test every single bumper model they make though. They’ve probably crashed one a decade ago and just apply the same design to all their models.

The trick to the ARB mounting and looking good seems to be trimming the bumper under the headlights to eliminate the gap.

Ironman is actually an ARB Prado bumper that you have to trim a bit too fit, I like it, I’ve had one on my Tacoma for since 2013 and I’ve had 2 deer strikes with no damage, so that’s what sold me, the control box is fastened to the the motor so it’s easily accessible through one of the holes in the top of the bumper

Ironman isn't ARB, different companies. Ironman is just a copy of an ARB but made in China/southeast Asia vs ARB being made in Austrailia.

I'd love to see that because even Ironman themselves say they make nothing in AUS. Designed yes, made, no.

Really the most fragile pieces are the 2 wood trims/vents. Everything else is pretty forgiving. The little tabs that hold the vents on the wood trim love to break if you manipulate the vent. Also be sure to remember to reconnect your airbag readout on the one side and the Hazards on the other, don’t want to forget then have to re-pull the panels and risk busting a clip. I’ve done it.

Those wood panels really are only good for a handful of pulls before they start breaking. Doesn’t help they used metal clips from OEM that don’t release as easily as the yellow plastic ones.

I swear if I didn’t have a 3pm appointment with a client, I would have already started drinking. Whomever thought this fake ass wood trim was a good idea needs to be shot

I like my 255/75R17’s, staying off of E rated tires was a requirement for me.
