Our second kid is a freaking monster. Pretty sure he would have killed himself multiple times by now if we weren’t keeping an eye on him.

Speaking of not functioning well on very little sleep, the neighbor 4 houses down with the Subaru Impreza that wakes me up at 5:50 every morning warming up his Too Fast, Too Furious commuter has convinced me to never add an aftermarket exhaust to a vehicle. Must be awful for the neighbor right next to him.

Until the i saw it on the ultrasound, I never really understood what people meant when they said they didn't care, just wanted a healthy baby.

That said, with social media the way it is, and the pressure I see on girls today, Dear Lord do I hope it's a boy.

Haven’t bitched at him, too early for that and the living situation is temporary anyway. I usually mutter something about him being a Dom Toretto Wannabe MFer, roll out of bed an hour early and get coffee.

    Congratulations!!!!

Only advice I got is go with your gut and instinct on 99% of things, it's amazing what happens when that momma and daddy instinct kicks in. As far as sleep what Jimbo said set a good schedule and keep it. The more routine your kids day is as far as naps, bedtime, etc. the easier that will be. Mine slept through the night starting at like 2 or 3 weeks so I don't know what that was like other than one bad night.

good luck finding a place, there isn't SHIT on the market right now...the second new HVAC goes in tomorrow, 5 months after the first one went out...hopefully that's a "selling point" and we can ask a bit of a higher price since that will be one less thing a buyer can negotiate or ask for a concession on.

and to add to this point: don't read all the books and do all the classes...it's all just scare tactics. We are wired for this shit, so it will come natural (although at times you may question your entire existence and if you can survive the day).

You'll be a better parent than you may think.

Girls are easy don't let them see and be influenced by that crap. Don't let that crap influence the values you want to see passed on. But that same sentiment can be said for the boys too!

Yeah I’m painfully aware. Realtor expects it to pick up a little after the holidays but it’s slim pickings right now. 7 years ago When we bought our first house I gave the realtor a list of parameters and she took us to 10 homes that next day which matched the description. Completely different market today.

I don't want to down play this, I know it's going to be hard, but people have been raising babies for thousands of years without parenting books. I picked up a couple, I like to read, but neither of us is going to be reading a stack of books or mommy blogs.

So, funny that we were talking about locking your credit, Holly just got a certified letter from Avis. Apparently while we were going through buying the house recently, during the brief time that her credit was unlocked, someone rented a car in her name. Was due back over a month ago.......

Hell hath no fury like a woman who's identity was stolen for a second time. :censored:

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
We had a dbag like that at the apartment I was temporarily staying in. Some douche with a new 5.0 mustang who must have been a former harley owner, would blip the throttle multiple times warming it up evrey morning, then drive though the parking lot at 7000 RPMs, then drive down the main road in 1st then once clear of the apartments you could hear him up shift. Bastard had straight pipes or something. I'm not square slander here and enjoy extremely loud motors, but the people who drive them annoy me especially at 4am.

I used to have a z71 sierra with a flowmaster 40series and I hated it. The novelty wore off like a week in, the worst was on road trips and you would get this done at highway speed that would drive me nuts. Now on the taco I have the quietest muffler I could find. The truck sounds like a winch offroad, all you hear is gears and on road all you hear is the 1st gen 5spd countershaft gear whine that sounds like a supercharger.

Well not me, but her. I suspect it's related to the first time her identity was stolen. Maybe once it's out there in the ether it can be purchased by other criminals?

Dobinson’s coils and shocks. SOS sliders, ditch light brackets, and front skid. Rigid ditch lights. BFG KO(dos) More minor stuff.

    Congrats. That’s just awesome.
