I'm hoping these last until I croak. If not I'll bite the bullet and order regular spouts, drill a hole in the back of the can and install a tire valvestem with the core taken out as an air bleeder for pouring.

My co-worker left one of those EPA cans full of gas at my house after using my tractor. I ended up taking the spout off and pouring it into the tank like that. Stupidest thing I've seen in some time.

I use these. No rubber for the gas to eat at & degrade.

With 720 feet of twisting, sloping driveway, I think front mount would work best. Especially for my neck and back. Or I just keep doing what I’m doing. It’s worked so far.

    Nice machine!

That 7’ blade I was going to try and buy is at a small dealer, he sells stuff out of his yard. I called him and offered him $100 less, he wouldn’t budge. I’ll check back next week and see if he still has it. I’d like to have it, but don’t need it.

They are extraordinarily stealthy oil burners. I think it’s what has killed most of them over the years.

My old Toro 724 never burned oil, but I checked it every time I started it, figuring I'd be safe. Had a big storm, ran it for like 3 hours straight, and it ate the rod. When I was taking it apart to replace the rod I drained the oil and it was practically bone dry. Got it running again (same piston, rings, valves, etc, just a new rod) and it ran great and didn't burn any oil, and I sold it a year later and it still didn't burn any oil.

I almost wonder if they don't cool themselves well enough for prolonged use, and there's a magic temperature threshold where they suddenly start guzzling oil. :notsure:

Yes, I put an inexpensive 3rd function valve on it to operate the rams. I can drop the blade and have the loader on in 5 minutes.

Had a tree come down in a storm back in august... finally got around cutting and removing it off the trail... big hollow thing it was. Still had some weight to it. Dragged some of it cuz I was getting tired and I dulled the saw blade on “dirty” wood. 65A8AEA5-644F-4F6C-A5CA-A222BDBC3B7F.jpg
