Thanks for the info. I’m not new to firearms (just new to handguns). I’ve been hunting my whole life. I’m not going to edc. Just want to get one to have in the cabinet at home and hope I never have to use it in real life. I’ll go out and practice a bit. But don’t plan to make a hobby of it.

Oh cool you'll be good. If you are doing it for that id personally get a full size like a glock 17, smith and Wesson 357 (can shoot 38 special) or a full size sig. Just so you are aware ballistics have come so far in the last few years. A 9mm is enough power, nothing wrong with a 40 or 45 either.

9mm is what I had in mind, simply because they’re kinda small.

    Yeah, That's my question. What constitutes a lot...100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000 rounds?

I’d go with over 30K/caliber is “over adequate” for 2 people training.

It was $5 per round. More like $8.50 each now.

Just because some friends are cool..so 6 or 7 years ago when prices skyrocketed, one of my friends sold me a AK with 1,000 rounds for what he paid for it years earlier. I think it was less than half price of what a rifle was selling for, if you could even find one.
